Gast Architects worked with Starburst Construction on a carefully-detailed, gut renovation of a 1956 Eichler in San Mateo County. Phil and his team collaborated well with the clients and our office to deliver a beautifully refreshed Eichler. The bidding process was straightforward, construction was professional, clean, and timely, and the clients are delighted with the results. The scope included new hydronic heating throughout; a new white terrazzo floor in the living areas; repartitioning/rebuilding the entire home including new kitchen and new bathrooms; replacing all of the glass with energy efficient glazing; and replacing the original UV-faded wall paneling with book-matched white Oak panels that were coordinated with the finish of the interior doors and millwork. It was a pleasure to work with the Starburst Team and we are already enjoying working with them on our next Eichler project in Palo Alto.

We own an Eichler home and Phil and Cindy Carey and their crew are experienced Eichler remodelers. They provided professional work/service and ideas when we wanted to re-do our bathrooms, part of the kitchen, and dining (each area had some challenging aspects). Cindy's high energy and positive enthusiasm was very helpful to me in making me feel less stressed and anxious about the project.

Starburst Construction remodeled our home. It was a major project and took a while. Inside our two story home we had walls taken down to the studs, ceilings raised, bathrooms added, pantry added, kitchen moved and remodeled. We had the garage size doubled from two to four car, and the driveway changed to pavers. Phil and Cindy Carey ensured excellent work and we received that and more. We finished the remodeling job approximately 10 years ago and everything is still beautiful. Phil and Cindy always are here for us to help us maintain our beautiful home and respond 24/7 to assist in emergencies. We love our home and appreciate the relationship that we continue to have with Phil and Cindy, and their sons, Derek and Brian .

My husband and I hired Starburst Construction to remodel 2 bathrooms and redo a small part of the kitchen. We are so delighted that we did so. They were awesome! The end product was excellent and we still get compliments . A Realtor myself for over 30 years, I have met a number of people in the construction industry. Starburst is tops in their field! They have a fantastic crew of professionals who are all master craftsmen in their respective fields. They worked as a team and were very neat, tidy, timely and pleasant to work with. Cindy Carey was in constant communication with us which was great because we have erratic and busy schedules, and was able to smooth over some few minor hassles with great adroitness and empathy. Phil Carey accompanied us to shop for fixtures ( despite an arm in a sling) and was great in providing the vision for our project. They also got us a designer to contribute some ideas.
