The Corner Woodshop

Doing a kitchen reno is daunting to say the least. But the team at the Corner Woodshop made this reno easy and pleasant. This was a complete gut job in the kitchen with new tile and wood floors in the rest of the ground floor. Everyone who works for or is associated with Sunil and Gary are very professional and very, very nice. My house was clean and tidy every night and my kitchen was completed ahead of schedule and is now the most functional room in my house. Thank you gentlemen from the Pierrefonds renovation.

If someone would ask me to sum up in 1 word the quality, perfection and attitude it would be PERFECTION. That is exactly what Sunil and his team at The Corner Woodshop are. I got flooded in May and had do to a complete kitchen renovation. I was looking to hire someone and came cross this team. From the moment I meet Sunil I knew he was very enthusiastic about his work. it all started with Sunil coming over to take some dimension and provide me with a qoute. he did more then that he started off by sending me drawings of what the final product would look like and it turned out 1000% better then the drawings. one thing I have to say about this company is there are no shortcuts or done cheaply. The walls were not 100% and they made sure the final installation was 100%. There are no imperfections at all every cabinet is 100% flush t one another. Since this is a rental most companies would simply use the cheapest hardware they could find not Sunil he made sure it was of the highest quality and has a wide selection of handles. Delivery: prior to any cabinets entering the appartment Think blankets were laid out to ensure nothing would get scrathed or damaged. Cleanup: was excellent, this team is super clean and make sure you don't know they were there besides leaving you an amazing kitchen. You can tell they take pride in their work and there are not too many companies out there left like this. If you are looking at any sort of cabnets to be created I would suggest start off by calling The Corner Woodshop and don't bother calling anywhere else. from the last 3 kitchen renovations I have seen 1 at my parents, 1 at my place and now this so far they have exceeded the previous 2 hands down. I am looking forward to next summer and having Sunil and his team build and install custom built ins in the bedrooms. The owner and his staff pay close attention to detail and have an abundance of experience and talent, true craftsmen! The owner was able to make changes on the fly to accommodate changes in our construction. Every night the workplace was tidy and clean. Overall a great renovation experience!

For a professional like me, who is rather meticulous about finding the right people to help fulfill my goals, it surprised my friends & I greatly to have chosen any company after just the initial interview/consultation...! Mr Sunil Peetush was not only extremely professional and organized in his approach, but he actually understood that anyone looking to invest in a major renovation, needs to have clarity, honesty, and a high level of expertise from their prospective contractor(s). He actually LISTENED to MY needs, wishes, & dreams, and coordinated that information with what he could do...which was everything I wanted...and more! I got the impression at that time, and I now know for a fact, that he is able to speak to whatever level required...be it a relatively basic job, or the extremely high-end production I expected. My reno was extensive, including some structural changes to build a kitchen, mudroom, powder room, and cater to the domino effect on the rest of the main floor & basement...What really sold me at the outset, was Sunil's ability to create renderings of a rather complicated design, so that I could accelerate the time course of decisions that had to be made to ensure all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place...in REAL time, rather than what happened before I met him with the estimates I got elsewhere - requiring annoying delays by having to change designer's drafts by hand over & over again every time something needed to be modified. The Corner Woodshop shocked me with their ability to adhere to original estimates, schedules, and allow me to be the pain-in-the-butt client who would make some changes on the fly...while coordinating masterfully with the other contractors! My major reno could have been a major pain, as they often are, however it metamorphosized into a wonderful "This Old House" episode, and I absolutely love that when I experience living in my "new home", my original design fantasies are truly reality now--a tall order for any contracting job anywhere! Over the years, I have done a host of renovations, shopped extensively for the right contractors, but until now have never come across those who truly epitomized the 3 A's of good business: ability, availability, & affability...Mr. Sunil Peetush and the Corner Woodshop have undoubtedly earned that honour from a stickler like me!! When a home reno professional can do all of the aforementioned during times of stress & tension, raise the value of one's home significantly above the actual cost of the project, and leave the customer with a wonderful feeling, not enough can be said to recommend that others have that expert enter their lives too! He was not a salesman, but a counsellor...The bonus was not only discovering Mr Peetush was a consummate professional, but a man of character...something the home reno business needs desperately!!

We were extremely happy with our experience, the owner was very knowledgeable and suggested changes to improve the layout and function of our kitchen. He was very open to questions and willing to go above and beyond our expectations. The job was finished when promised and was conducted in a professional manner. The job site was left clean and safe everyday and the crew were always very respectful. I was a very hands on client and I was always made to feel that my questions were welcomed and addressed. I would not hesitate to hire or recommend this company.

Sunil and his team at the Corner Woodshop were a pleasure to work with. They were friendly, efficient, always cleaned up, and most of all, did beautiful work. Sunil brought our kitchen project to life with his beautifully crafted cabinets and finishing touches. He was always patient as we made last minute changes but frank when he felt that something could not work (putting the integrity of the piece at risk). He did lovely custom pieces for us including a hood range cover, an appliance garage, a massive pantry with roll-out drawers, as well as, be not inclusively, a butler's pantry. Always ready to go the extra mile to make your dreams come true. We would not hesitate to recommend The Corner Woodshop for any cabinet/furniture project and hope to have the pleasure of working with them once again.
