About Us

Hello! My name is Vanessa Docherty and I am currently a Kitchen and Bath Designer at Acorn Kitchen and Bath in Pontiac Michigan. I have been in the design industry since 2013, and I have my Associate in Applied Science, concentration in Interior Design. For myself personally, working with clients and maintaining a high level a satisfaction are my main focus, as well as designing a space that fits my clients who will be enjoying it. There is no greater joy and seeing my clients love their space and watching everything come together at the end. I have design experience in both a residential and commercial setting. Among knowing how to design a space or home that is both functional and pleasing to the eye, I am educated in cabinetry, space planning, color selection, and 2020Design to name a few. Venessa did a great job designing our new kitchen and now our new bath. Made sure we got all the accessories right and everything went in with no issues, even though I did it myself.

Vanessa played an instrumental role in creating our kitchen. She worked with us to choose counters and cabinets. While deciding on a countertop, we gravitated toward a popular option. Vanessa offered an alternative countertop that has led to a kitchen which has the clean, serene look we love.
