Oscar Fine Painting

I truly have benefited in selecting Oscar to handle my large drywall and painting project. I’d give him more stars if I could! He’s wonderfully skilled, professional and friendly and priced fairly. Part of the project included encasing an older rock fireplace. I’m thrilled how much his work has transformed the look of my master bedroom. He completed all of the projects as planned. He arrived daily prepared and on time. I highly recommend Oscar Fine Painting and I will use him again.

We have known Oscar Amaya since 2006. Neither of us can recall how I got his business card. I needed some repair on a lock in our living room. While Oscar was here, I had to run an errand. I called my husband and said, “I’m going to leave him here, as I feel he’s safe.” That begin a 15 year relationship and friendship. At some point we were traveling and wanted our 30 x 15’ living room high, slanted, dark wood ceiling replaced with a light color and the installation of several lights. The electrician came out and marked an X in the spaces. When we returned, everything was complete except the color for the ceiling. Since we’ve been in our home for 51 years, we started other projects over the last 10 years. One was to lightly sand all the wooden custom cabinets from 1987. After Oscar lightly sanded then, he stained and varnished. He also painted the entire house inside and out five years ago when we added insulation into the exterior walls. Then in 2019, we replaced our 17 double paned doors and windows that were custom-made to size. They came unfinished and needed five applications before the job was finished. First a light sanding, then a coat to protect them, then the stain of which we had three different shades, and then two coats of varnish. You can slide your hand across any of the wood and they are smooth as silk. Our latest and final project is a shed in the back of the house. As we have no basement or attic the garage was jampacked. So we had one shelf installed and then Oscar installed the other three walls with adjustable shelves. Then, he cut the plywood to perfection. in addition, he moved a lot of heavy boxes and helped sort where they belong. Oscar is extremely kind, efficient, creative, an expert, and problem solver. He plans ahead so he doesn’t waste any time or your money. I continue to wish all the best for Oscar Amaya. I just hope he doesn’t get so busy that he can’t squeeze us in.

He is awesome, he did our catering kitchen tasting room and the restroom. He is so friendly and an excellent painter and handyman.
