I am still in the consideration stage, and I am not a DIY tech guy or programmer, so I am leaning more and more in the direction of Savant. Any actual users out there who can provide feedback on their experience?

www.vivint.com has a great combined system for security and home automation. lots of technology awards and innovation. the hardware is based on 2gig which is the leading technology that led me to vivint.
