AFTER: we reconfigured the space by taking out the peninsula and adding an island. We also lightened the room by adding a window over the sink, enlarged a bay window area with new windows at the other end of the room, brought the white cabinetry to the ceiling and installed a white subway tile at the backsplash. Wood flooring was brought in to tie in with the rest of the home and crown moldings add character giving the room a time honored feel. Photo by: Chrissy Racho
