Dated to Dynamic in Black and White Kitchen

This home was built in 1927 and had had some previous updating, but the kitchen still looked tired and dark. A peninsula divided the large space in half which didn't allow for taking full advantage of the square footage. We reconfigured the space by removing the peninsula and giving this young family a workable island. We also added a window over the sink and opened up a bay window area which added natural light. White cabinets and backsplash look crisp and clean in the space and the wood flooring blends in with the rest of the home.
