A line of arborvitae was used to create a natural privacy fence along the boundary. Irregular bluestone was then laid in a stepping stone pattern up to the vinyl picket fence.

Emerald Green Arborvitae. Thuja occidentalis Emerald Green. Arborvitae provide are a functional rivacy planting in the most simple way. A bit overused, but still functional when there is limited space available. Here they screen a private bluestone patio adjacent to a home office.

Request Free Quote This backyard features a rectangular swimming pool, an exercise swim spa, and a custom spa. The swimming pool measures 15'0" x 50'0", the Spa measures 6'0" x 16'0" and the exercise pool measures 6'0" x 16'0". All three pools have automatic pool covers with stone lid systems. All three pools have LED colored lighting. The coping is Valders, Buff-colored Limestone. The interior exposed aggregate finish color is Midnight Blue. The patio area also features a fire pit, as well as a natural stone pool deck and coping. This project is at a home in Glencoe, Illinois.

This Brooklyn backyard features a bluestone patio, paver stone retaining wall, horizontal cedar fencing with a plexiglass border at the top, the Eos dining table from DWR, hornbeam trees, arborvitaes, and purple fountain grasses. the bamboo is a clumping variety called Bambusa eutuldoides viridi-vittata , Asian lemon bamboo. This variety is a clumper and you do not need to contain it, however, do allow an 8'by 10' area for its ultimate growth. Bamboo does require constant maintenance and you will need to do some research for the specific variety you choose.
