The idea of a marble tub deck was conceived after a false start using the same white ceramic tile as in the shower and on the tub walls. It looked terrible! Since we were looking at marble for the vanity countertop, we asked them to price this area out, as well. It was definitely more expensive than tile, but wow, what an impact it made. And the marble was mined in Georgia- score one for using local materials!

This picture was easy to make! I took a store-bought, multi photo frame, placed a piece of inexpensive fabric behind the mat, and used white acrylic paint to make the designs. The "bubbles" where created by pouring some paint on a plate, and using a few different sized bottle caps (chapstic, spray adhesive, and a straw, for example) to stamp the circles on. The little man was stenciled on and freehand painted. It was super easy, and inexpensive!
