After. A fresh, modern Kitchen that feels twice the size. Cabico cabinets in the color “Cumberland” look crisp against the quartz countertops in the color “Cloudburst Concrete” from MSI Surfaces. The look was continued into the new Dining Room with the addition of furniture-like Cabico cabinetry with modern V-groove doors in “Fawn” at the far end, adding additional storage as well as a convenient buffet countertop in the same “Cloudburst Concrete.” Four brass Mitzi “Lupe” scones provide an elegant, modern touch that plays off the other finishes.

Before renovating, this bright and airy family kitchen was small, cramped and dark. The dining room was being used for spillover storage, and there was hardly room for two cooks in the kitchen. By knocking out the wall separating the two rooms, we created a large kitchen space with plenty of storage, space for cooking and baking, and a gathering table for kids and family friends. The dark navy blue cabinets set apart the area for baking, with a deep, bright counter for cooling racks, a tiled niche for the mixer, and pantries dedicated to baking supplies. The space next to the beverage center was used to create a beautiful eat-in dining area with an over-sized pendant and provided a stunning focal point visible from the front entry. Touches of brass and iron are sprinkled throughout and tie the entire room together.

In our world of kitchen design, it’s lovely to see all the varieties of styles come to life. From traditional to modern, and everything in between, we love to design a broad spectrum. Here, we present a two-tone modern kitchen that has used materials in a fresh and eye-catching way. With a mix of finishes, it blends perfectly together to create a space that flows and is the pulsating heart of the home.
With the main cooking island and gorgeous prep wall, the cook has plenty of space to work. The second island is perfect for seating – the three materials interacting seamlessly, we have the main white material covering the cabinets, a short grey table for the kids, and a taller walnut top for adults to sit and stand while sipping some wine! I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend time in this kitchen?!
Cabinetry
With a tuxedo trend look, we used Cabico Elmwood New Haven door style, walnut vertical grain in a natural matte finish. The white cabinets over the sink are the Ventura MDF door in a White Diamond Gloss finish.
Countertops
The white counters on the perimeter and on both islands are from Caesarstone in a Frosty Carrina finish, and the added bar on the second countertop is a custom walnut top (made by the homeowner!) with a shorter seated table made from Caesarstone’s Raw Concrete.
Backsplash
The stone is from Marble Systems from the Mod Glam Collection, Blocks – Glacier honed, in Snow White polished finish, and added Brass.
Fixtures
A Blanco Precis Silgranit Cascade Super Single Bowl Kitchen Sink in White works perfect with the counters. A Waterstone transitional pulldown faucet in New Bronze is complemented by matching water dispenser, soap dispenser, and air switch. The cabinet hardware is from Emtek – their Trinity pulls in brass.
Appliances
The cooktop, oven, steam oven and dishwasher are all from Miele. The dishwashers are paneled with cabinetry material (left/right of the sink) and integrate seamlessly Refrigerator and Freezer columns are from SubZero and we kept the stainless look to break up the walnut some. The microwave is a counter sitting Panasonic with a custom wood trim (made by Cabico) and the vent hood is from Zephyr.

white lacquer finish kitchen with standard sheen has full overlay Maple cabinetry with 5-piece drawer fronts and soft-close concealed hinges. The large Kitchen Island hides double waste basket in pull out cabinetry, provides a spot for the built in microwave, and has plenty of space for seating and additional storage. There is an apron front sink, decorative panels to add element on exposed ends, and upper cabinets with glass inserts.

We love this kitchen too! This is custom cabinetry with inset construction done to perfection. Maple cabinets painted white while the island is cherry with a dark rich stain.
Scale and function are impossible to ignore. The glass door cabinets with the X mullion and the plate rack make this a simple elegance that everyone would love.

Frameless, bright white Shaker cabinets reflect tons of light into this transitional-modern kitchen. The solid taupe quartz countertops provide a clean, neutral surface that lets the multi-toned, marble backsplash capture the attention.

Cabico Elmwood cabinetry with the “Bregenz” doorstyle in “Pure White,” with satin nickel “Sutton” pulls from Hardware Resources, give a modern, fresh feel to the Kitchen. The countertop-to-ceiling backsplash and stunning waterfall-edge island are Silestone “Calacatta Gold” engineered quartz. The herringbone floor design comprises Porcelanosa “Krono Grey” porcelain tile.
Stools - client’s own.

Avid cooks and entertainers purchased this 1925 Tudor home that had only been partially renovated in the 80's. Cooking is a very important part of this hobby chef's life and so we really had to make the best use of space and storage in this kitchen. Modernizing while achieving maximum functionality, and opening up to the family room were all on the "must" list, and a custom banquette and large island helps for parties and large entertaining gatherings.
Cabinets are from Cabico, their Elmwood series in both white paint, and walnut in a natural stained finish. Stainless steel counters wrap the perimeter, while Caesarstone quartz is used on the island. The seated part of the island is walnut to match the cabinetry. The backsplash is a mosaic from Marble Systems. The shelving unit on the wall is custom built to utilize the small wall space and get additional open storage for everyday items.
A 3 foot Galley sink is the main focus of the island, and acts as a workhorse prep and cooking space. This is aired with a faucet from Waterstone, with a matching at the prep sink on the exterior wall and a potfiller over the Dacor Range. Built-in Subzero Refrigerator and Freezer columns provide plenty of fresh food storage options. In the prep area along the exterior wall, a built in ice maker, microwave drawer, warming drawer, and additional/secondary dishwasher drawer helps the second cook during larger party prep.
