Habitar DesignOur designer, Hannah Tindall, worked with the homeowners to create a contemporary kitchen, living room, master & guest bathrooms and gorgeous hallway that truly highlights their beautiful and extensive art collection. The entire home was outfitted with sleek, walnut hardwood flooring, with a custom Frank Lloyd Wright inspired entryway stairwell. The living room's standout pieces are two gorgeous velvet teal sofas and the black stone fireplace. The kitchen has dark wood cabinetry with frosted glass and a glass mosaic tile backsplash. The master bathrooms uses the same dark cabinetry, double vanity, and a custom tile backsplash in the walk-in shower. The first floor guest bathroom keeps things eclectic with bright purple walls and colorful modern artwork.
GMT Home Designs Inc.The original kitchen was dark and lacked storage space. It was cut off from the rest of the house and needed an update. We removed the wall between the dining room and kitchen and bumped the kitchen out in the rear of the house. We created lots of storage, a new island with seating and added windows bringing in much needed natural light. The kitchen is now a hub of activity for the whole family.
Spaces RenewedAll of the cuts in the tile were deliberate. Notice the equal reveal on either side of the soap niche. A rectangular soap niche is not only modern and unique, but also has a much higher storage capacity than the traditional small square recess. The pony wall provides separation and privacy and also is able to support the long floating bench across the back wall.

Ann Lowengart InteriorsThe three-level Mediterranean revival home started as a 1930s summer cottage that expanded downward and upward over time. We used a clean, crisp white wall plaster with bronze hardware throughout the interiors to give the house continuity. A neutral color palette and minimalist furnishings create a sense of calm restraint. Subtle and nuanced textures and variations in tints add visual interest. The stair risers from the living room to the primary suite are hand-painted terra cotta tile in gray and off-white. We used the same tile resource in the kitchen for the island's toe kick.

The Diamond Cabinets that were purchased from Lowes are a warm grey and are accented with champagne gold Atlas cabinet hardware. The Taj Mahal quartzite countertops have a nice cream tone with veins of gold and gray. The mother or pearl diamond mosaic tile backsplash by Jeffery Court adds a little sparkle to the small kitchen layout. The island houses the glass cook top with a stainless steel hood above the island. The white appliances are not the typical thing you see in kitchens these days but works beautifully.
