The light filled laundry room is punctuated with black and gold accents, a playful floor tile pattern and a large dog shower. The U-shaped laundry room features plenty of counter space for folding clothes and ample cabinet storage. A mesh front drying cabinet is the perfect spot to hang clothes to dry out of sight. The "drop zone" outside of the laundry room features a countertop beside the garage door for leaving car keys and purses. Under the countertop, the client requested an open space to fit a large dog kennel to keep it tucked away out of the walking area. The room's color scheme was pulled from the fun floor tile and works beautifully with the nearby kitchen and pantry.

This gorgeous backyard project covered every square inch of this customer’s backyard and was nestled in to a tight backyard access without disturbing the existing trees or golf course. The customer had very contemporary and modern tastes and wanted that reflected in their pool and backyard design. A stunning 1” blue glass tiled raised planter box* with 5 water features gracefully separates this geometrically perfect Pebble Sheen swimming pool from the golf course it overlooks and green low-maintenance Southwest plants & floral separate the view. A dam wall separates the roomy therapeutic in-ground semi-circle spa from the pool area. The side of the pool closest to the home is a straight parallel line, with the opposing side geometrically rounded with both the raised pattern pavers and the wrought iron fence matching patterns precisely. The ( wireless EZ Touch remote operated ) pool equipment is on the side of the home allowing spacious deck space for those who enjoy this contemporary backyard. Of note, the same 1” glass tiles from the raised planter were used throughout the home’s interior to integrate outdoor & indoor elements.

To create this look we used the brightest white color (“Bright White”) the cabinet manufacturer offered and one-inch thick cabinet doors with a nice transitional detail. To keep the white flow throughout the space, a custom Amore hood was created in a matching white powder coated finish with polished stainless steel detailing, and a light gray and white custom tile mosaic was installed on the focal wall over the rangetop. A diamond shape tile continues on the perimeter wall, but in a more humble pattern. The island, done in a Vintage Slate painted finish, looks metallic and grounds the room with a double thick Carrrara Quartizite countertop. Antique gold island pendants soften the overall bright and edgy polished nickel/stainless steel appearance of the cabinet hardware and appliances. The same cabinet door style was used in the butler’s pantry/bar in a beautiful peacock blue color called “Agean Blue”. To reinforce the intensity of the color in the small space we used bright green glass mosaic tile with gold grout for the backsplash, and gold print wallpaper on the ceiling. The swing door between the butler’s pantry and dining room was replaced with a new one featuring a cut glass design that echoes the green backsplash pattern. The crystal chandelier adds to the festiveness of the room and crowns this “jewel box” of the kitchen.

In the kitchen, tractor seat barstools were sourced (retail) by the client. Another money-saving tactic: The backsplash tile is Heath, but rather than selecting the expensive shapes from the Series 5 collection that our client was drawn to at first, we chose a stock size and shape and created visual interest by installing the tiles in a herringbone pattern. Inspiration for a large timeless backyard stone patio remodel in Seattle with a fire pit

The client wanted patio space for a chair so she could relax in the sun when the mood struck. The only spot in the yard with any sun is near the fence gate. A full-range New York Bluestone patio was added using 30” x 30” slabs. These slabs are dry-set so leveling was a challenge.

This home office showcases how several different textures and patterns can come together and provide a wow factor. The walls are done in a vibrant indigo blue grasscloth wallpaper which adds texture and depth to the room. The Ikat patterned draperies tie together with the diamond shapes on the textured carpet. The wing chair is adorned with spaced nailhead and the small scale leopard print pillow with indigo blue fringe helps to tie the colors, patterns, and of the room all together. A large framed print of an octopus in shades of blue adorns the wall above the clean lines of the desk and the curved shapes of the office chair and accent chair provides softness in the room.
