We removed the long wall of mirrors and moved the tub into the empty space at the left end of the vanity. We replaced the carpet with a beautiful and durable Luxury Vinyl Plank. We simply refaced the double vanity with a shaker style.

The hall table is a custom made piece design by in collaboration with the interior designer, Ashley Whittaker. The floor has an inlay Greek key border, and the walls are covered hand painted Gracie paper.

We turned one open space into two distinct spaces. The home owner opted to have the pianist face away from the room in order to allow for more seating. This nursery began in an empty white-box room with incredible natural light, the challenge being to give it warmth and add multi-functionality. Through floral motifs and hints of gold, we created a boho glam room perfect for a little girl. We played with texture to give depth to the soft color palette. The upholstered crib is convertible to a toddler bed, and the daybed can serve as a twin bed, offering a nursery that can grow with baby. The changing table doubles as a dresser, while the hanging canopy play area serves as a perfect play and reading nook.

The guest bath features floor to ceiling glass tile in a calming sage green, while the freestanding cabinets are a bright white. Behind the freestanding tub teak shutters open to the bathroom's private garden and outdoor shower. The walls are lava rock and the shower head is a custom stone waterfall. The teak mirrors are framed by glass pendants. The gold fixtures add a pop of glamour to the all white vanities and the soft green of the shower. The shower floor is gray pebbles to compliment the gray floor and the lava rock outside in the garden.

A trio of blue glazed pottery of different heights and textures transforms an empty lanai corner into a beautiful backdrop for the spa and pool. Artificial outdoor plants will keep their looks, never drop any petals into the pool, and never need watering. Very easy to store for the off season.

Well-traveled. Relaxed. Timeless. Our well-traveled clients were soon-to-be empty nesters when they approached us for help reimagining their Presidio Heights home. The expansive Spanish-Revival residence originally constructed in 1908 had been substantially renovated 8 year prior, but needed some adaptations to better suit the needs of a family with three college-bound teens. We evolved the space to be a bright, relaxed reflection of the family’s time together, revising the function and layout of the ground-floor rooms and filling them with casual, comfortable furnishings and artifacts collected abroad. One of the key changes we made to the space plan was to eliminate the formal dining room and transform an area off the kitchen into a casual gathering spot for our clients and their children. The expandable table and coffee/wine bar means the room can handle large dinner parties and small study sessions with similar ease. The family room was relocated from a lower level to be more central part of the main floor, encouraging more quality family time, and freeing up space for a spacious home gym. In the living room, lounge-worthy upholstery grounds the space, encouraging a relaxed and effortless West Coast vibe. Exposed wood beams recall the original Spanish-influence, but feel updated and fresh in a light wood stain. Throughout the entry and main floor, found artifacts punctate the softer textures — ceramics from New Mexico, religious sculpture from Asia and a quirky wall-mounted phone that belonged to our client’s grandmother.
