We removed the pergola and existing concrete and filled in with sod and drains with the negative drainage towards the house. We covered the door exiting the house and raised the roof line to 9' and vaulted the interior ceiling to 10' to maximize volume. At the back of the space we added a 10' kitchen with granite, 32" grill, propane drawer, 2-drawer & paper towel holder combo, and space for a Large Big Green Egg. The salt finish concrete gives an added look more than the standard broom finish. The columns are built out and given dimension with exterior trim materials. We installed a 6" pre-stained tongue and groove ceiling along with 6" eyeball recess cans to give directional lighting. TK Images

This freestanding covered patio with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace is the perfect retreat! Just a few steps away from the home, this covered patio is about 500 square feet. The homeowner had an existing structure they wanted replaced. This new one has a custom built wood burning fireplace with an outdoor kitchen and is a great area for entertaining. The flooring is a travertine tile in a Versailles pattern over a concrete patio. The outdoor kitchen has an L-shaped counter with plenty of space for prepping and serving meals as well as space for dining. The fascia is stone and the countertops are granite. The wood-burning fireplace is constructed of the same stone and has a ledgestone hearth and cedar mantle. What a perfect place to cozy up and enjoy a cool evening outside. The structure has cedar columns and beams. The vaulted ceiling is stained tongue and groove and really gives the space a very open feel. Special details include the cedar braces under the bar top counter, carriage lights on the columns and directional lights along the sides of the ceiling. Click Photography

The front approach is understated and carefully planned with a line of low placed eyeball down lights that run in a straight line along the wall , through the house itself and into the back patio- lighting a path that takes the view all through the residence. Inspiration for a mid-century modern master light wood floor and beige floor bedroom remodel in Minneapolis with white walls and no fireplace

An unconventional and artsy bathroom we recently designed, with the intention of bringing out our client's unique personality while optimizing functionality. This is a very small bathroom, so we decided a sleek floating vanity with pull-out drawers would work best. Additional shelving and towel racks were added above the toilet, offering above the head storage that wouldn't make the space appear or feel smaller. Artistic custom European tiling and light fixtures give this bathroom the unique look we were going for - offering edgy graphics and intriguing "eyeball" style lighting. Designed by Chi Renovation & Design who serve Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. You'll find their work from the Loop through Lincoln Park, Skokie, Wilmette, and all of the way up to Lake Forest.
