Modern cabinetry by Wood Mode Custom Cabinets, Frameless construction in Vista Plus door style, Maple wood species with a Matte Eclipse finish, dimensional wall tile Boreal Engineered Marble by Giovanni Barbieri, LED backlit lighting.

The homeowner was looking for a lot more space in a very small bathroom. In order to overcome the room’s lack of any kind of storage the oversized tub was replaced with a shower bench and multiple niches for shampoos.
Additional cabinetry storage was created by wrapping the vanity cabinets around a wall and creating tall linen cabinets in an area that had not been used before. Floating vanity under cabinet lights and a special wall lit mirror helped to open up the small space.
Large format Porcelenosa Ston-ker Ferroker floor tiles and field tiles in the color Aluminio were used on the floors and vanity wall. Special attention was paid to the geometric layout of the horizontal lines of the entire layout – walnut vertical grained cabinetry, wall and floor tiles to create visual space to the room. A Nu-heat heated floor added to the comfort of the room.

Bathroom - mid-sized contemporary 3/4 bathroom idea in San Francisco with a console sink and gray walls

The room's centerpiece is a sleek freestanding oval bathtub with a stylish floor-mounted brass tub filler, which adds a touch of sophistication and warmth. The tile surrounding the tub is laid vertically, offering a fresh take on a classic pattern and drawing the eye upward. Across the room, a warm wood double vanity provides ample storage with a mix of cabinets and drawers, complementing the natural light that fills the space. Above the vanity, a simple brass light fixture and a large, frameless mirror complete the modern aesthetic. The floor is a large-format gray tile, which provides a neutral and grounding foundation for the space.

A more bold approach was taken with the color scheme for the Pool Bath. The oversized subway tiles in four colors - mango, breeze, estuary and sea grass- is the focal point of the bathroom while the smaller scale mosaic flooring offsets it nicely in Tessera glass. Traditional elements were used to keep with the style of the home: the classic white of the cabinetry, countertop and sink, the simplicity of the circular mirror and the single light wall sconces complete the look.
Vanity wall: Island Stone in 4 colors (mango, breeze, estuary, and sea grass)

Here's a medium-length description for this bathroom:
Modern Spa-Inspired Bathroom
This sleek bathroom pairs textured, sculptural wall tile with warm wood accents for a modern, spa-like feel. A dramatic 3D wave-pattern tile wraps the entire space, adding subtle movement and light play throughout the room. A glass-enclosed shower features a black barn-door style sliding track, matte black fixtures, and a built-in niche finished in a small mosaic tile for contrast.
The floating vanity showcases a thick white countertop with an integrated sink, paired with matte black fixtures and set atop a rich walnut wood cabinet with an open display shelf below. A large frameless mirror spans the wall above, paired with a smaller inset wood-framed mirror and a black-finished magnifying mirror for added function.

Primary bathroom of a new construction single-level home in Orinda, CA, designed by CB Architecture + Design and featured in Dwell Magazine. A freestanding white oval soaking tub is set against a full-width horizontal cedar accent wall, the same warm cedar materiality carried from the exterior entry volume and soffit into the most private room of the home. Wall-mounted chrome tub filler with hand-shower set directly into the cedar wall above the tub. A black-framed horizontal picture window positioned above the cedar wall shelf admits garden and tree canopy views at eye level from the tub, maintaining privacy while connecting the bathing experience to the landscape. Long floating walnut vanity with white quartz countertop, under mount single sink, and chrome bar pull hardware runs the length of the left wall. White subway tile backsplash above the vanity counter. Full-width frameless mirror with integrated lighting above. Frameless glass shower enclosure with chrome fixtures and large-format grey tile visible to the right.

Large master bath with custom floating cabinets, double undermount sinks, wall mounted faucets, recessed mirrors, limestone floors, large walk-in shower with glass doors opening into private patio.
