This kitchen in the Boston suburbs won first place in the Large Kitchen Remodel category at the 2014 NKBA Northern New England kitchen design awards. The sprawling master suite is a true oasis; the main master bedroom leads into a lovely, stylish sitting room that's connected to a 5-piece master bath and an ample-sized walk-in closet.

Large pots of water can easily be moved from this secondary sink to the cooktop. When the homeowners entertain, they can fill the sink with ice for bottles of champagne or wine.

This kitchen has many interesting elements that set it apart.
The sense of openness is created by the raised ceiling and multiple ceiling levels, lighting and light colored cabinets.
A custom hood over the stone back splash creates a wonderful focal point with it's traditional style architectural mill work complimenting the islands use of reclaimed wood (as seen on the ceiling as well) transitional tapered legs, and the use of Carrara marble on the island top.
