Juxtaposing a Southern Colorado setting with a Moorish feel, North Star Ranch explores a distinctive Mediterranean architectural style in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The owner raises cutting horses, but has spent much of her free time traveling the world. She has brought art and artifacts from those journeys into her home, and they work in combination to establish an uncommon mood. The stone floor, stucco and plaster walls, troweled stucco exterior, and heavy beam and trussed ceilings welcome guests as they enter the home. Open spaces for socializing, both outdoor and in, are what those guests experience but to ensure the owner's privacy, certain spaces such as the master suite and office can be essentially 'locked off' from the rest of the home. Even in the context of the region's extraordinary rock formations, North Star Ranch conveys a strong sense of personality.

This bathroom design in Yardley, PA offers a soothing spa retreat, featuring warm colors, natural textures, and sleek lines. The DuraSupreme floating vanity cabinet with a Chroma door in a painted black finish is complemented by a Cambria Beaumont countertop and striking brass hardware. The color scheme is carried through in the Sigma Stixx single handled satin brass finish faucet, as well as the shower plumbing fixtures, towel bar, and robe hook. Two unique round mirrors hang above the vanity and a Toto Drake II toilet sits next to the vanity. The alcove shower design includes a Fleurco Horizon Matte Black shower door. We created a truly relaxing spa retreat with a teak floor and wall, textured pebble style backsplash, and soothing motion sensor lighting under the vanity.

Inspiration for an eclectic enclosed dark wood floor living room remodel in Denver with white walls

Perched on a hillside on the edge of the Palouse, these homeowners wanted a backyard that took advantage of the stellar views across the surrounding farmland. Masonry retaining walls match the brick of the house, while the landscaping complements the vistas below. The water feature has multiple falls that cascade into a deep wading pool below. The concrete patio is cantilevered over the water for a seamless transition. Across the top pool, boulder stepping stones continue the path to the upper patio.

Our clients wanted to modernize their 1980's home, focusing on reimagining the main floor. We used warm palettes, natural elements, and clean lines while maximizing natural light and preserving key architectural features to create a welcoming, functional space. This bright and beautiful workspace is a sanctuary of productivity. Sleek, modern furniture complements open and closed shelving for seamless storage. A cozy window seat offers a tranquil retreat, balancing work and relaxation effortlessly.

Transitional yet classic, this elegant white kitchen has accents of deep blue at the base of the island, the bar cabinetry and the paneled wine refrigerator. Stainless steel bands on the range hood complement the lantern pendants above the island. A spacious walk-in pantry with touch latch door and glass upper panels frames the kitchen with a touch of elegance.

Inspired by the sugar plantation estates on the island of Barbados, “Orchid Beach” radiates a barefoot elegance. The master wing is entered through double doors into a foyer adorned by a stunning art piece. To the left, a bedroom overlooking the bayou and his and hers oversized master closet. To the right is the master bath and orchid conservatory. The suite includes paneled master bedroom walls, vaulted ceilings, and walnut floors. The bedroom windows resembles a rounded stern of an old sailboat with a full-length seat overlooking the terraced pool deck and bayou. The bath features a full-size hydrotherapy tub below a large picture window looking out to a mature plumeria. The exquisite chamfered wall tile flows through the shower, and perfectly complements the runway of stunning marble penny tile insert on the floor. The master bath opens to reveal the orchid conservatory and meditation space. The orchid conservatory features four walls of lattice with oval portholes, an outdoor shower, lovely seating area to enjoy the beautiful flowers, and a relaxing bronze Cupid fountain. The challenge was to bring the outdoors in with the Orchid Conservatory while maintaining privacy. It is a dream oasis with an indulgent, spacious spa-like feel.

Contemporary Master Bedroom Retreat Has Semi-Diagonal-Painted Accent Wall. This loft master bedroom has a contemporary style epitomized by the black canopy bed and diagonal-painted accent wall. Navy and white bedding, ottomans and an area rug complement the gray cement floor while adding soft texture to the space.

Example of a transitional laundry room design in Dallas

Part mirage, part miracle - this masterful modern evocation is in the best Louisiana vernacular tradition. It was conceived by architect Kevin Gossen (Gossen Architects Lafayette, Louisiana) for an unusual piece of property in Metairie whose cheated landscape gives the illusion of open country spaces. He has created a “cottage” that already looks as if it might be a survivor from a couple of centuries ago. Using reclaimed building materials, magnificent beams, beautiful old flooring with classically scaled rooms, it was a perfect project for Decorations Lucullus. Both architect and interior designers admit the real magic rested with the client whose highly developed aesthetic and extensive experience in design gave the process amazing vitality. Conceived as a “résidence secondaire” to be near grandchildren, she wanted something more snug than her large primary house out of town but without sacrificing the qualities of charm or elegance. While the project is still evolving, she can’t repress a smile when some passer-by stops to chat over the rose-heavy iron fence, perhaps peering into the gracious side hall, asking how this old house has managed to survive all the changes in the neighborhood. This family arrived in Kalamazoo to join an elite group of doctors starting the Western Michigan University School of Medicine. They fell in love with a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home that needed a few updates to fit their lifestyle. The living room's focal point was an existing custom two-story water feature. New Kellex furniture creates two seating areas with flexibility for entertaining guests. Several pieces of original art and custom furniture were purchased at Good Goods in Saugatuck, Michigan.
