This look offers a more eclectic aesthetic and incorporates shades of blue for the wall colour and even in the artwork hanging on the back wall. The flowers offer a more natural element that nicely compliments the natural feel of the wooden chest on the back wall and the darker wooden legs on the coffee table.
Including the white furniture with the inclusion of different patterns and textures for the rug and cushions bring the space to another level. It is a clean but fun look that may be inspired by both a modern and contemporary aesthetic with a more coastal or Hamptons style colour scheme.

A clean, glamorous aesthetic allows for elegant and timeless lines, keeping the style of this home cohesive throughout. The white marble tiles create a classic blank canvas that will suit any modern aesthetic and interior décor opportunity.
Soft wood textures in the cupboards, warm white LED lighting along with stone cladding adds warmth to the kitchen and grounds the overall space as the main entertainment area of the home. The house includes a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom layout with private enclosed garden space ideal for the four legged children.

In the Solaria dining table, cast steel legs in a simple T-shape support a clean-lined fancy face top featuring quartered white oak veneers in a Dune finish. The sleek form and elemental materials craft a modern industrial look with roots in Bauhaus forms. The rectangular table extends from 88 inches to 110 inches with the addition of a single leaf.
Defined by the beauty of simplicity, Solaria combines the clean lines of minimalism with layers of texture in a tonal palette of washed natural hues. Unadorned profiles are built with flawless craftsmanship, combining wire-brushed oak, stone and chiseled surfaces with rustic cast aluminum. The look is uncluttered with a modernist style and elevated aesthetic. Geometrics and smooth surfaces offer hints of Bauhaus, while shearling adds warmth and softness. The collection is sophisticated but relaxed and unpretentious, with an elemental, reflective purity.

A harmony of simplicity and modernity, texture and neutrals, the Solaria buffet makes the most of form and function. We are proud to share with you an exciting cabinet project in Bellevue that involved both the kitchen and bathroom. The client desired a European style with sleek, modern aesthetics, and we were thrilled to bring their vision to life.
In the kitchen, we installed stunning flat-panel cabinets that exude a contemporary charm. The upper cabinets reached all the way to the ceiling, optimizing storage space and providing a seamless, polished look. These upper cabinets not only offer ample storage but also add a touch of elegance to the entire kitchen.
To further enhance functionality, we incorporated wide drawers into the design. These spacious drawers make organizing and accessing kitchen essentials a breeze. They provide a convenient and stylish solution for storing utensils, cookware, and other items.
For the finishes, we employed a combination of light and dark tones to create a striking contrast. The light finishes brought an airy and open feel to the space, while the dark finishes added depth and sophistication. This harmonious interplay of colors created a visually appealing and modern atmosphere in the kitchen.
In the bathroom, we continued the European influence with floating cabinets. These cabinets, devoid of visible legs or support, create a sleek and minimalist look while maximizing floor space. The floating design also makes cleaning a breeze, as there are no obstacles or obstructions to maneuver around.
The end result was a beautiful and functional space that seamlessly blended modern aesthetics with practicality.#europeanstylecabinets #modernkitchen #floatingvanity #flatdesign #seattlecabinets #moderndesigns

Make memories, laugh, enjoy delicious food, drink, and company of friends and family around this solid walnut, handmade table. The transitional style allows it to fit nicely in a wide range of decor from Mid Century Modern to Traditional homes.
The leg design makes this piece truly unique. Notice in the detail shots of the legs and how the grain patterns are repeated on each side of the leg for a pleasing aesthetic symmetry. The legs are 2.25" thick and the table top is 1.5" thick, making this just about as strong as the Titan god Atlas.
Seats 8 comfortably . Handmade in San Diego, California. Like all of our furniture, the solid hardwood and construction practices make it built to last a couple of lifetimes

This stunning whole-home renovation seamlessly blends classic architectural details with sophisticated, contemporary design. From a dramatic primary bathroom suite to a light-filled kitchen and refined dining room, every space was thoughtfully reimagined to balance beauty with everyday functionality.
Primary Bathroom
The showstopping centerpiece of this renovation is the expansive primary bathroom, where rich navy blue walls create a bold, jewel-box effect against crisp white coffered ceilings. A sculptural bubble-glass chandelier anchors the space with effortless glamour. The suite is divided into two distinct zones: a serene bathing alcove and a sleek vanity corridor.
The bathing alcove features a freestanding soaking tub set beneath a trio of floor-to-ceiling gridded windows, flooding the space with natural light. Calacatta marble-look wall tile extends seamlessly into the walk-in glass shower, which is equipped with both a ceiling-mounted rain head and an adjustable handheld system. Underfoot, handmade blue arabesque floor tiles add artisanal texture and a soft pop of color that bridges the two tonal worlds of the room.
The double vanity wall makes a statement with natural white oak cabinetry, brushed brass hardware, and a thick Calacatta marble slab countertop with an integrated undermount sink. Polished chrome cross-handle faucets and a large frameless mirror flanked by cylindrical brass sconces complete the refined look. A navy-upholstered bench with gold X-base legs provides both a functional perch and a luxurious finishing touch.
Kitchen
The kitchen celebrates the home's original architecture while bringing it fully into the present. Soaring cathedral ceilings with exposed natural pine tongue-and-groove planks and structural wood beams create an airy, almost chapel-like volume. A bold black iron lantern pendant — scaled dramatically to match the ceiling height — grounds the space and adds farmhouse-inspired character. Classic white inset cabinetry with polished nickel hardware, speckled granite countertops, a subway tile backsplash, and warm hardwood flooring deliver a timeless, livable aesthetic.
Dining Room
The formal dining room strikes an elegant balance between traditional and transitional. Neutral walls with subtle wainscoting provide a quiet backdrop for a stunning modern chandelier featuring gold arms and cylindrical glass shades. A natural oak dining table paired with ivory upholstered chairs keeps the palette light and airy, while a large abstract canvas in shades of blue, grey, and gold echoes the home's broader color story. Herringbone hardwood floors and crisp crown molding tie the space back to the home's classical bones.

As readers of architect/designer Katie Hutchison’s book The New Cottage (Taunton Press 2018), these homeowners approached KHS about designing a second home in Westerly, Rhode Island. Theirs is a double-long lot with street frontage on both ends, a short walk from the water. In addition to the new house, their wish list included a new lap pool (with associated patio) and new garage.
Aesthetically, they were looking to create an informally elegant, human-scaled family compound, engaged with the site and connected with the outdoors. They further requested sustainable features/systems and low-maintenance materials.
In response, KHS proposed an ell-shaped house that wraps two sides of a lap pool/patio. A porch-fronted two-story gabled component faces the main street and is flanked by the one-story primary suite in one leg of the ell and the one-story kitchen and rear porches in the other leg of the ell. The house is an efficient +/- 2800 square-feet and contains four bedrooms and three and one half bathrooms.
A salt-box inspired garage is detached so as not to increase the building massing. It helps shape outdoor spaces and doesn’t block daylight and direct exterior access from the house. It faces the secondary street. Driveways off both streets offer different modes of arrival.
The south-facing roof of the two-story volume – which includes three bedrooms and two baths – and the south-facing one-story roof of the kitchen and rear porches, as well as the south-facing roof of the garage support 47 photovoltaic solar panels, providing the bulk of the property’s electric power.
Two oversized exterior folding glass doors off the living area and kitchen blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors, welcoming abundant daylight, views of the pool and patio, as well as summer breezes. An airy living/dining area includes a long custom window seat and borders a semi-open kitchen beneath a cathedral ceiling. Living area built-in shelving frames a TV and surrounds a modern efficient pellet stove.
A cheerful interior palette of soft hues features pops of color, Scandinavian wallpapers, custom textiles, and a dash of warm wood accents in the form of counters, built-in desks, and custom furnishings. On the exterior, natural shingles side the main volume and environmentally friendly and durable Boral board-and-batten side the one-story components and garage, communicating a legible hierarchy of spaces. The overall effect is a breezy, crisp New England home, pool patio, and garage for today’s living.
