Inspiration for a small contemporary shade side yard stone formal garden in San Francisco.

This client required a sloping ramp from driveway to front door for wheelchair access. We built the ramp with Permeable concrete pavers to alleviate run-off rushing down slope. The ramp is hidden from the street view by the wall be built which we later augmented with a boxwood hedge. We installed low voltage lighting in the wall at the driveway entrance. We designed the project with Google Sketch-up. Very successful!

Dry creek bed created in the backyard to alleviate drainage issues. Downspouts were directed to the creek which leads to a rain garden.

Inspiration for a mid-sized contemporary backyard deck container garden remodel in Portland with a pergola

A custom smoky gray painted cabinet was topped with grey blue Zodiaq counter. Blue glass tile was used throughout the bathtub and shower. Diamond-shaped glass tiles line the backsplash and add shimmer along with the polished chrome fixture. Two 36” vertical sconces installed on the backsplash to ceiling mirror add light and height.

This wooden area was overgrown and had no functional use for the homeowners. We were able to clear out the area and create useful space for them to enjoy the outdoors. By adding a dry stream bed we alleviated any potential issues with standing water, a mixture of medium river gravel and Glacier boulders were used in this feature. This project also included adding a seating area, a flagstone pathway, using Oakfield steppers, that provides access from the driveway. We added in greenery that is easier for the homeowner to maintain and still gives you the rustic appeal of being in the woods. In the front yard the walkway was completed using Copthorne Liberty pavers and Coral Bells were planted along the entrance.

Inspiration for a large coastal gray two-story mixed siding house exterior remodel in Boston with a hip roof and a shingle roof

The second phase of the project focused on an outdoor renovation and a custom-designed master suite/garage addition, which added more functional space for this family to grow and perfectly complemented the home’s exterior. Copyright Bob Narod Photography and BOWA

This Bent Creek renovation and addition gave the existing 1920s home a spacious interior and modern design while still maintaining its original character. The homeowners enjoy hosting large gatherings, but the narrow footprint and small spaces created a lot of congestion inside. To alleviate this problem, the homeowners wanted to expand the cramped kitchen and living spaces, but a huge oak tree sat only 5 feet from the kitchen window. The tree holds great sentimental value to the owners, so sacrificing the tree was out of the question, and locating the kitchen expansion elsewhere was not financially feasible. As a compromise, a large portion of the house adjacent to the kitchen was demolished, and most of the kitchen function was expanded in this direction. This cultured marble shower is equipped with several horizontal grab bars and a vertical grab bar for added safety. This shower was installed with a secondary trough drain that will alleviate excessive flooding in the case the main drain is covered by a dropped wash cloth or such.
