Benefits of our privacy screens:
1- Increased privacy – The nosy neighbors and odd passersby will have a much harder time seeing your own personal goings-on.
2- Shade – On a hot summer’s day, it is always nice to find a bit of shade, and when the sun is beating down on your patio, sometimes you have to bring the shade to you. A privacy screen can offer this much-needed respite from the heat of direct sunlight.
3- Hiding eyesores – Sometimes there are things we need to keep outside and they are not always aesthetically pleasing. Things like air conditioning units and water pumps can really distract from your yard’s scenery. Privacy screens are a good way of dividing and keeping things like this out of sight.
4- Attractive – The right screen can really accentuate your yard, making it a true sight to be seen.
What exactly do you do?
Driven by curiosity, we thrive on challenging creativity and what is expected when designing for a space.
We enhance experience through the creation and design of decorative screens. Ultimately, elevating spaces to bring people together.

This 60’s building presented a serious challenge for a small penthouse with a great terrace– a typical galley kitchen with a wonderful skylight was sandwiched between the small dining room and odd wall configurations. We transformed this kitchen into the heart of a light-filled, open entertainment and living area seating 4 at the peninsula side... and for our work-out obsessed client, gym equipment becomes sculpture with a custom made, welded monkey bar in the doorway! SO New York City!

The American Louvered Roof Patio Cover was the perfect option for covering this Upstate South Carolina's odd shaped deck space. It not only provides relief from the sun and heat, but also from the rain.
The homeowners love opening the louvers to enjoy sunlight after the sun moves to the front of the home in the late afternoon, When opened it allows sunlight onto deck and into home. A traditional roof would permanently block sunlight from home and patio. When partially open, it continues to block heat and sun, but also allows hot air to escape.
Grilling underneath is no problem. The post, beams, and entire patio cover roof are made from extruded aluminum and powder coated to give it a lasting finish. The heat from the grill does not damage the finish.
The Upstate South Carolina homeowners had few options for covering their large 26' wide x 16' deck. The U-shape of the space eliminated a traditional style shingle roof, the fireplace jet-out eliminated the retractable awning, and a pergola would only offer limited shade and no rain protection.

While cleaning out the attic of this recently purchased Arlington farmhouse, an amazing view was discovered: the Washington Monument was visible on the horizon.
The architect and owner agreed that this was a serendipitous opportunity. A badly needed renovation and addition of this residence was organized around a grand gesture reinforcing this view shed. A glassy “look out room” caps a new tower element added to the left side of the house and reveals distant views east over the Rosslyn business district and beyond to the National Mall.
A two-story addition, containing a new kitchen and master suite, was placed in the rear yard, where a crumbling former porch and oddly shaped closet addition was removed. The new work defers to the original structure, stepping back to maintain a reading of the historic house. The dwelling was completely restored and repaired, maintaining existing room proportions as much as possible, while opening up views and adding larger windows. A small mudroom appendage engages the landscape and helps to create an outdoor room at the rear of the property. It also provides a secondary entrance to the house from the detached garage. Internally, there is a seamless transition between old and new.

Transitional Design Condo Update in San Francisco, California Pacific Heights Neighborhood
The owners of this condo in Pacific Heights wanted to update their 60’s style kitchen and bathrooms yet strike a balance between ultra modern and conservative. To achieve this, we combined clean modern lines and contemporary fittings with warm natural stone and rich woods. In the kitchen, a distinctive effect is achieved by using quarter sawn cherry veneer on the shaker style cabinet doors with parallel grain run horizontally. Beautiful brown granite and custom stain compliment the oak floors we selected to provide continuity with the rest of the house. The master bath features a vanity designed with a wrap-over counter of thick granite, wenge wood veneers, Venetian plaster and a carefully coordinated variety of glass and stone tiles. In the guest bath a similar material palette is enlivened by inclusion of a wall hung toilet and an art niche.

The cabinets add interesting dimension to the room by bumping in and out to highlight the various aspects of the kitchen layout.
