John and Erwin were with us every step of the way and were wonderful to work with. What could have been a stressful and frustrating experience was actually very easy and enjoyable. The turnaround time for the finished product and the cost were quite reasonable. I highly recommend MossCreek to anyone looking for high quality plans they are sure to love.

We used MossCreek to design a legacy property in Idaho for our family. This home is a complex, 7000 sq.ft. build consistent with the rustic style of the mountain west. We worked with Allen Halcomb on this design from the beginning. He was excellent in helping us understand what we wanted and translating that into a design which addressed all our aspirations. From the beginning, he listened carefully to our likes and dislikes, and used them to draft plans for our review. He willingly listened to our thoughts about the plans as they matured and helped fine-tune them to the final product. He was a joy to work with and helped us realize a dream property. MossCreek saved my love of building. Prior to 2009 I was VP of a mid-sized custom home construction company in Nashville. I had 6 superintendents, 12 projects valued in excess of $21 million working 60 hours a week. I bought a 10 acre tract and while I worked on cleaning it up and opening up the creek area for a mini state park I started looking into log homes and home styles that excited me. Looking though a Log Home magazine I saw a MossCreek ad (full page) with several really cool looking homes. The floor plans and the artist renderings were amazing. I was immediately revved up by the design. The Deer Valley plan just blew me away. I had never seen such cool architecture in a 2400 sq. ft. Home. I knew I had to work with this company. My wife and I decided to build a home for my daughter on 5 acres next to our home that we already owned and I was starting to get some interest in the land and possible customs and I knew it was time to gear up. I contacted MossCreek to help me modify a Roaring Fork plan. John Wallace worked with me on the design and it was a real pleasure. He made the modification quickly for a very fair price. I was hooked. We have completed 3 projects together at this point and I hope to do many more. MossCreek has helped me in more ways than I can tell you. They brought back my love of building. I actually dread it when the client says they have an architect or already have a plan.

Allen Halcomb, President of MossCreek, arrived in Vancouver with design paper in hand to visit and study our sloping waterfront property on Bowen Island, British Columbia. Allen is the consummate architect, artist, and businessman who is supported by a team of architectural professionals from Knoxville Tennessee. Together they created a custom rustic design for our family's vacation cabin, manipulating the many details to meet the demands of our steep slope, our view of Howe Sound, and our existing mature cedar trees. Patiently and painstakingly, Allen drew and re-drew house plan details until the square footage, site position, and design were just perfect for us!

I can not recommend the team at Moss Creek enough! The process was both exciting and professional. They are like the missing piece of a puzzle for a creative vision. Our work with them as designers for our new home started with a visit to their office where the creative process really sparks. They will ask you very thoughtful questions and start immediately drawing your spaces as bubbles on vellum, defining the space and layout around you. From there, layer upon layer of vellum are stacked on each other and the shape and form of your floor plan grow. An artists facad is drawn (again in front of you) and your dream house is right there before your eyes! We fully intend to frame ours. Within a few days they will email you much more defined drawings and work with you extremely closely to tweak it to your specifics. The amazing thing about the team is that their support doesn't stop in the least after you have plans! They will be there on a moments notice to work through challenges that arrive during the build and the end result will work, and work well. To sum up, Moss Creek is the first company I would suggest to someone looking to design their dream reclaimed modern home. One happy customer and family over here for sure!
