This Victorian fireplace features our 1.5″ x 6″ handmade tile in Jade Moss. Designed in a running bond pattern to get a historically accurate Victorian style.

This rugged desert building site set the stage for a contemporary interpretation of traditional Hacienda architecture. The client visualized a unique home that fitted effortlessly into its surroundings. Rock outcropping presented siting challenges, but the use of stone reflecting local geology allowed the structure to create a true sense of place. Hacienda hallmarks of a clay tile roof, rough wood beams, and an exquisite wood entry door greet visitors and portent what to anticipate inside. Interior design emphasizes rustic romantic beauty with rich colors, natural materials accented with traditional wood and metal detailing. The expansive rear patio and curvilinear pool provide ample space for socializing and taking in the rugged desert mountain views. Day or night, inside or out, amazing views to savor.

These clients own a very unique home, originally constructed circa 1760 and extensively renovated in 2008. They were seeking some additional space for home exercise, but didn’t necessarily want to disturb the existing structure, nor did they want to live through construction with a young child. Additionally, they were seeking to create a better area for outdoor entertaining in anticipation of installing an in-ground pool within the next few years. This new pavilion combines all of the above features, while complementing the materials of the existing home. This modest 1-story structure features an entertaining / kitchenette area and a private and separate space for the homeowner’s home exercise studio.

The setting for Night at the Queen is Downtown Bryan Texas, a truly unique, quaint, and well restored historic district not to be missed if you are visiting the Bryan College Station area. The historic Queen Theatre (correct spelling!) is undergoing a complete restoration. One of my favorite buildings, it had to be the focus of this painting! Upon completion of the restoration, I can imagine an evening that feels much like this with a few clouds still illuminated by a low, fading sunset complimenting the stunning lights of the district at night reflected on the wet sidewalks from a passing shower. Set in Montana's tranquil Shields River Valley, the Shilo Ranch Compound is a collection of structures that were specifically built on a relatively smaller scale, to maximize efficiency. The main house has two bedrooms, a living area, dining and kitchen, bath and adjacent greenhouse, while two guest homes within the compound can sleep a total of 12 friends and family. There's also a common gathering hall, for dinners, games, and time together. The overall feel here is of sophisticated simplicity, with plaster walls, concrete and wood floors, and weathered boards for exteriors. The placement of each building was considered closely when envisioning how people would move through the property, based on anticipated needs and interests. Sustainability and consumption was also taken into consideration, as evidenced by the photovoltaic panels on roof of the garage, and the capability to shut down any of the compound's buildings when not in use.
