Wheelchair Accessible Master Bath -- Custom height counters, high toe kicks and recessed knee areas are the calling card for this wheelchair accessible design. The base cabinets are all designed to be easy reach -- pull-out units (both trash and storage), and drawers. Functionality meets aesthetic beauty in this bath remodel. A serene and calming master retreat with bright yellow and soft aqua accents is the perfect place to unwind. A desk under the window provides a perfect place to work on a laptop, or apply make-up.

“Her” vanity has a dedicated makeup desk where the homeowner can sit and apply her make-up. It features poplar hardwood that was sourced in the US – Midwest and Kentucky and is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified and the MDF (medium-density fiberboard) used for the drawer fronts and cabinet doors was NAUF (No Added Urea Formaldehyde) Certified. The custom, full-overlay European style cabinetry with Shaker style doors were painted gray and glazed a charcoal color. The vanity was painted with zero VOC paint. The walls were painted using Sherwin Williams zero VOC "Harmony" paint. The coral wall color is the principal color found in the Trina Turk Trellis Coral King Duvet Cover Set in the Master Bedroom. The custom countertops were made from recycled glass. The window treatment is a Hunter Douglas Duette Shade.

A frameless glass enclosure contains the water and the warmth while still allowing a clear view of the beautiful shower. enduro-shield was applied to the glass to make cleaning easier. The knee wall lends a little privacy to the person in the shower.

Fresh and feminine, this bathroom is the ultimate place to relax and pamper yourself. The combination of the Willow and Vintage Canvas finishes give the room a slightly shabby chic look that is definitely more chic than shabby. The Desk Knee Drawer Cabinet creates a place to really take your time and enjoy the process of applying your makeup or giving yourself a manicure. Next to the desk, we've created a freestanding armoire from a large Wall Cabinet and two Wine Storage Cabinets. A Crown Valance completes the furniture-like look of this stunningly beautiful storage solution. The sink area is also filled with interesting touches, such as the Vanity Filler Pull-out that gives you much more storage than you'd expect from such a small space.

Marble tiles laid in a herringbone pattern on the bathroom floors set the tone for a traditional space, while the gothic arched cabinet doors, ornate moldings, and sparkly light fixtures add some glamour. The Master Bedroom lacks adequate closet space, so the wardrobe cabinets from Showplace Cabinetry (in Light Griege painted finish) create more storage in the small space. The custom vanity cabinet creates a classy nook for applying makeup.

Focusing here on the custom shower seat, shower wall, and countertop, all formed into a single piece of marble. The white and grey tile colors relate to this luxurious bathroom’s foggy Bay Area location, and the silver finish tones in. Vertical light fixtures either side of the mirror make for perfect balance when shaving or applying make-up. The bow-front warm wood custom vanity with a single-piece countertop that forms the shower wall also creates a custom shower seat. The corner shower is enclosed with glass to protect from splashes. Oversized floor tiles outside the shower echo the smaller floor tiles inside. All the colors are working in harmony for a peaceful and uplifting space.

Tucked at the left side of is a small seat which provides the perfect perch for applying make-up on "her" side vanity. The delicate toe valance shape is repeated in the shape of the backsplashes too.

The medicine cabinets are recessed into the wall to provide ample storage. The mirror is a little closer to a person standing in front of the sink to make it more comfortable to apply makeup or shave. Since there is no counter space, the bathroom will always look tidy. Lighting at the base of the wall and under the medicine cabinet never hurts the eyes.
