This media room has tri-folding doors beneath a paneled arched header to conceal the screen when not in use. Doors below the screen are on touch-catches for discreet equipment storage. The media center is flanked on both sides by open display cabinets. In the background to the left, you see the wet bar with custom leaded glass designs and a matching leaded glass interior door into the wine room - all by Banner's Cabinets.

The project was divided into three phases over the course of seven years. We were originally hired to re-design the master bath. Phase two was more significant; the garden and parlor levels of the house would be reconfigured to work more efficiently with their lifestyle. The kitchen would double in size and would include a back staircase leading to a cozy den/office and back garden for dining al fresco. The last, most recent phase would include an update to the guest room and a larger, more functional teenage suite. When you work with great clients, it is a pleasure to keep coming back! This "smaller" living & dining room combination was given visual "separation" by use of dimensional wood panel behind the TV, and vertical flat stock to visually 'divide' the spaces.

The dining room is the first room seen from the entry and is designed to provide unobstructed views of the lake and greenery through it’s 12’ high floor to ceiling and wall-to-wall glazing. A buffet for serving and storage seems to float in the 14’ width which was accomplished with a steel beam concealed within the cabinetry. The owner of this Franklin home, completed in 2017, selected the light fixture early in the design process and wanted to ensure the rest of the design was clean and that this was a focal point. The ceiling features a reveal in the drywall around the perimeter along with layered dry-wall on the ceiling to create an interesting but subtle texture. The dining room has access to the kitchen, through two extra deep dry-walled arches. Access to the adjacent sitting room through two pairs of custom steel and glass French doors.

**Featured in Home & Design Magazine! The inspiration for this unique project draws on the clients’ love of Paris and the city’s vibrant romanticism and mix of architectural styles. Our challenge was to elevate builder-grade finishes in a newly-constructed townhome to create an urban retreat with aged patina for this young couple. Soft industrial elements were layered over Old-World inspired details on nearly every surface for maximum impact. We added rustic wood ceilings and industrial beams to create drama, texture, and value throughout. A Parisian-inspired glass/iron wall divider relieves the open concept floor plan, creating a more intimate seating space. Oversized pendants of steel, blown glass, horsehair and faux horn provide soft illumination while drawing the eye upward to architectural ceiling details. Custom midnight blue built-ins create a library that frames the entry and study. The deep and dramatic color palette of paint and wallpaper that adorns the walls is a vibrant mix of cobalt, citron, teal and smoky lavender. Light pours into the rooms from the large windows, reflects off the oversized acid-wash mirror, and forms dramatic shadows on the walls, setting the mood for this home.

This formal sitting room creates an elegant lounge area with a carved stone fireplace, arched architectural openings, detailed columns, and dramatic chandelier lighting. The upholstered chaise, tufted ottoman, patterned rug, and rich accent seating give the space a refined, collected feel while keeping it comfortable for conversation or quiet relaxation. With Spanish-inspired architecture, natural stone flooring, and classic interior details, this room adds another intimate gathering space within the Valencia project.
