Behind the central wall in the home is the private zone of the condo. A queen-sized bed is lofted over a built-in desk, bookshelves, laundry, and closet. The attic in this Victorian seaside house was massively renovated to make a guest room that takes full advantage of all the roof lines and dormers. The fir matchboard ceilings and hickory floors make this space old and new at the same time. In other words, timeless!

When Casework first met this 550 square foot attic space in a 1912 Seattle Craftsman home, it was dated and not functional. The homeowners wanted to transform their existing master bedroom and bathroom to include more practical closet and storage space as well as add a nursery. The renovation created a purposeful division of space for a growing family, including a cozy master with built-in bench storage, a spacious his and hers dressing room, open and bright master bath with brass and black details, and a nursery perfect for a growing child. Through clever built-ins and a minimal but effective color palette, Casework was able to turn this wasted attic space into a comfortable, inviting and purposeful sanctuary.

Attic space above lake house garage turned into a fun camping themed bunk room/playroom combo for kids. Four built-in Twin XL beds provide comfortable sleeping arrangements for kids and even adults when extra space is needed at this lake house. Campers can talk between the windows of the beds or lower the canvas shade for privacy. Each bed has it's own dimmable lantern light and built in cubby to keep books, eyeglasses, and electronics nearby.

This new area allows the kids to be wild and burn off energy inside during the rainy season, and still maintains a separate hang-out area. A sound-absorbing floor system and extra insulation keeps foot traffic and game noise from transferring to surrounding rooms.
