VPC Builders, LLCA local homeowner partnered with VPC Builders to create the mountain retreat of his dreams. The custom-built, two-level residence stands at 3200 square feet and features three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a bonus room, and a two-car garage.
Upon arrival, viewers are immediately captivated by a modern double front door, unique cedar trim, and bold dark colors. The exterior showcases Cypress siding and black roofing. A thin-cut, natural stone veneer placed around the covered front porch incorporates the rustic mountain setting.
Inside the home, the natural lighting provides a bright and crisp space that compliments the recessed lighting and hickory engineered flooring. The living room boasts a reclaimed accent mantle, true steel beams, and a vaulted ceiling. The area provides an ideal space for entertaining on cooler evenings with a full steel gas fireplace.

Vision InteriorsPacked with cottage attributes, Sunset View features an open floor plan without sacrificing intimate spaces. Detailed design elements and updated amenities add both warmth and character to this multi-seasonal, multi-level Shingle-style-inspired home. Columns, beams, half-walls and built-ins throughout add a sense of Old World craftsmanship. Opening to the kitchen and a double-sided fireplace, the dining room features a lounge area and a curved booth that seats up to eight at a time. When space is needed for a larger crowd, furniture in the sitting area can be traded for an expanded table and more chairs. On the other side of the fireplace, expansive lake views are the highlight of the hearth room, which features drop down steps for even more beautiful vistas. An unusual stair tower connects the home’s five levels. While spacious, each room was designed for maximum living in minimum space.

One attribute was this high sloped ceiling and two exterior windows. Enjoy! We tore it all out yet reused all plumbing locations and went to an exposed shower pipe while valves were still mounted on a low wall. We added a steam shower!

Rocky Mountain Outdoor LivingThe Prairie View project completely transformed the back outdoor living space and enhanced the curb appeal in the front of the property. A beautifully crafted deck now features a fire pit and also heating and cooling attributes to allow this space to be enjoyed year-round, along with the assistance of a roof addition. The under-decking system protects the patio below from moisture, making it the ideal location to cook even during inclement weather. The meticulously crafted walkway, illuminated retaining walls, and entryway were the perfect finishes to tie this transformation together.

Vanishing edge swimming pool designer reconstructed a leaking baptismal font creating an Italian glass tile mosaic vessel worthy of the commanding entrance of this private foyer.
Theology of the Design - The Design Elements and Their Meanings
Significant thought went into the redesign of the physical attributes and safety of this reconstructed font. The real importance of the design is found in the placement and use of the materials and colors:
1. The bronze statue of Christ occupies a commanding position atop the upper font, gazing through the skylight towards heaven above.
2. A gradient blend of glass tile mosaics originates with a blend of blacks & grays and transforms to a blend of yellows – signifying baptism in Christ's name is leaving one's sinful past behind (blacks/grays) and beginning and dawn of a new life (sunrise/yellows).
3. The upper bowl (cube) is a blend of whites and opalescent pearls... infants that are baptized here are free of mortal sin (purity/white).
4. A smattering of 24 karat gold mosaic tiles spill from the statue of the ascending Christ, over the spill way & cascades out onto the floor of the lower font.... Christ is the source of our everlasting life.
5. The black/gray entry step contains a few yellow tiles... because there is a little good in everyone, no matter how sinful they may be.
6. A singular gold mosaic tile is on the yellow exit step... Christ will forever be with those who are baptized & walk in his name.
7. The shadows from the hands of the statue of the ascending Christ touch both the black/gray entry step and the yellow exit step... Christ will forever guide those baptized in his name.

This 3,325 sq. ft, 3 bedrooms, and 3 bath home is ensconced with mountain-inspired elements, exquisite mountain views, and an inviting tenor of hearth and luxury. Upon arrival, captivation begins. Stunning features like the arch top door and timber framing welcome guests and residents at the front door.
Each room was customized and designed to fit the needs and vision of the owners and we are delighted at the results of this new residence.
Gene Calabrese Home Remodeling and RenovationsTiles pictured were purchased all over the world by my client. I worked with the homeowner on each placement. The homeowner went so far as to place them on the floor and give me a schematic and sequence for the layout. Another unique attribute is the thickness of the tiles ranging from 1/4 inch to 7/16 of an inch.

This is a modern and unusual version of the type of mustache worn in London in the 19th century by distinct, elegant and intellectual gentlemen. The ‘handlebar’ moustache was attributed to the typical London dandies and distinguished their physical appearance. Moustaches nowadays are a symbol of modern dandies in all the major cities of the world and thanks to Progetti cuckoo clocks, they can now be hang to the wall or be put on a desk or on a shelf giving an elegant and ironic touch to any room. Made of wood, Dandy cuckoo is available in two colors, classic black or white. The Cuckoo strike is switched off automatically during the night controlled by a light sensor.
