Description: Extreme use of the porch refers to the deep structures of the Iranian Architecture The "primitive cottage", which is a favorite of the residents of this small town, when converted into a contemporary apartment, must include several basic spaces to implement the residential scenario. Private and semi-private balconies are the most important of those spaces. Extensive vista is the potential of this project. because in addition to the forest view from the south and the beach view on the north side, the other two sides of the project have a unique view due to their height from the city.
Therefore, the location and type of openings affect the quality of the space. Each space has a pleasant view, light and proper air circulation. Roofed and non-roofed yards equally divided at different levels. These independent courtyards in the vertical surfaces seen as a vertical and integrated garden in the urban context.
CHALENGE: The value that the project pursues is to answer: How contemporary architecture can be faithful to culture, nature and context? How architecture can affect the audience without showing off?
this challenge arose for us when we noticed that the surrounding new buildings had nothing to do with local architecture except for adhering to a form such as a sloping roof. Audience tastes have also gone in a direction that is not compatible with contextual factors. So having a few touches of culture and context can be a turning point in the contemporary architecture of this Small scale area.

Thomas TVOur clients wanted a full theater effect in their media room downstairs. We wall mounted a 65" Panasonic OLED TV, and installed in-wall and in-ceiling speakers for the Dolby Atmos Surround sound system. Two in-wall concealed subwoofers add rich bass to the space, without overwhelming the audience - and don't take up any floorspace. The theater is DIRAC calibrated, solving any acoustic issues the room may have. Arcam amplifiers power the 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos theater. An RTI home automation system, using the homeowners iPads as control interfaces, run the theater room as well as the rest of the whole home audio system, outdoor audio system and upstairs media room.

Enviable Designs Inc.After completing the construction of their new 7000 sq ft home, the clients needed a fresh eye to furnish their home. Enviable Designs worked closely with the clients to create a look that was sophisticated yet classic with a glamorous twist! Using a selection of beautiful fabrics including mohair, cut velvets and embroidered silks, we created a visual union of golds, champagnes and soft greys. The bespoke soft furniture features elegant lines which is then mixed with accent pieces of polished nickel and glass. The completed design is one which speaks to a refined and polished audience.

SGDI - Sarah Gallop Design Inc.The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow.
Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The chosen colours tie the kitchen to the rest of the home (creating unity as combination, colours and materials, is repeated throughout).

The Natural GardenWe call these gardens "living landscapes" because the native plants they contain seed off and change locations from year to year in a dynamic, dramatic show. The gardener becomes audience, director, and dramaturge--all in one--rather than one who tightly controls the results.
(What is a dramaturge, one might ask if their friends are not in the theater?) Oxford languages explains: "1. a dramatist.
2. a literary editor on the staff of a theater who consults with authors and edits texts."
In living landscapes, the native plants become a sort of text which the gardener edits in order to shape the unfolding drama for the current and next season. The gardener chooses where to pull back overly assertive plants, when to nudge forward the under-confident actor waiting to shine, when to let the mystery unfold and surprise. It is not laissez-faire or "what will be will be"--rather, it is an ongoing movement rooted in observation and reflection. This is the living landscape we strive to design and build at The Natural Garden.

Pacific Grand Development & RealtorsThis project was designed with with a neutral color concept that would appeal to a large audience. We Incorporated contemporary elements throughout the home to give an elegant updated feel. The interior walls are painted our favorite color Sculptor Clay by Behr. The flooring is a laminate product from the lake series collection by Pacific Materials, Color “Glacier”. The cabinetry is a semi custom product by Homecrest. Cherry wood with a dark espresso stain and Shaker style doors . The Countertops are a Quartz product from Silestone called “Blanco City”. The stainless steel appliances are from Whirlpool and the kitchen Backsplash is from Emser tile (The Unique Collection, Color is Lyric). The Bathroom tile is a 12X24 Skybridge “off white” from Dal Tile, the plumbing fixtures are all Delta “Ara” Chrome finished. The home was perfectly staged by our exclusive partners at Onstage Staging. This project finished with phenomenal feedback and a wonderful new owner.
