Built in 1969 with only one previous owner, this quaint Cape house needed a full renovation. We took the opportunity to wire for both the client’s current and future needs. Ultra-high bandwidth cabling throughout the house allows for the next internet speed bump over 1 gigabit. The owners are self-described “recovering audiophiles,” so the speaker and equipment selection required a high-end solution to achieve this sound quality throughout 18 zones of indoor and outdoor audio. In addition, a lighting control system with close to 40 keypad locations strategically placed throughout the house was designed to let them control multiple lights from anywhere in the house, as well as to automate routine lighting scenes. In the family room, a surround sound setup complemented a 77-inch OLED TV wrapped in a custom black walnut frame to conceal the TV. Several custom programmed iPads are located in rooms with TVs, as well as a master control in the kitchen. Lastly, smart thermostats, video doorbells, smart door locks, 11 high-resolution cameras, and a smart water leak protection system allow the owners to monitor the house whether they are home or away. To meet the customer's aesthetic requirements for this beautiful living-room, we used the latest technology to install high end in-wall speakers configured as a surround 7.1 audio system with in-wall sub-woofer. All control equipment was installed in a remote location in keeping with the aesthetics of the room. The 65 inch OLED TV was custom mounted in the mill-work to give a unified look.

This density of Kohler professional plumbing fixtures is meticulously spaced for total body coverage, all managed by the central computerized DTV system. Integrated Polk Audio Soundscape: Flanking the showerheads are the moisture-resistant Polk Audio speakers. We’ve built these directly into the wall assembly, providing a wireless, high-fidelity audio experience that maintains the room's sleek architectural lines. Artisan Niche & Mosaic Detail: The centerpiece of this wall is a deep-set shampoo niche, featuring a precision-installed linear LED light channel. We framed the niche with a sophisticated mosaic tile border, adding a layer of fine-scale texture that contrasts beautifully with the large-format field stone. Decorative Vertical Transitions: To emphasize the height and scale of the suite, we installed decorative accent tiles running floor-to-ceiling on the left and right. This vertical detail frames the plumbing and audio components, adding a sense of intentional, curated design to the technical wall. Seamless Stone Integration: The alignment of the mosaic details with the plumbing cutouts requires a high level of layout precision, ensuring that every sprayer and speaker is perfectly centered within the decorative tile framework.

When working in high rises its not always easy to get everything in one place; but imagine trying to find space for all of your electronics in the house! This entire residence has no electronics in any of the cabinets. It all runs here.

The client moved into this space with a pair of high-end speakers he had from his last house. The built-ins were already there in his new family room. No other speaker which could fit on those shelves was going to be any better, or even as good, as the speakers he already owned--not without spending many thousands of dollars. It made sense to modify the built-ins to better fit the existing speakers. This photo shows the built-ins after that modification. Another photo shows the speaker and the shelves before the modification. An upgradeable TV and audio system, commensurate in quality to the speakers, was provided by DH Audio and Home Theater. The system is upgradeable by both software updates and by virtue of its NAD Master Series surround sound processor which uses a design much like a PC tower with its removable card slots. New technologies (4k video, MQA) have already come along since the introduction of this surround processor for which the owner can buy and or upgrade the removable cards. This cabinet is also the heart of a Bluesound wireless and expandable multi-room music system that the customer favored for its superior sound quality (e.g. over Sonos). Ease-of-use was also a must, so DH Audio & Home Theater custom programmed a remote so that one button press is all that's required to call up Fios HD TV, Netflix, Blu-ray discs, family photos and video, or music.

One of the most important things for those of us who like enjoying a hot bath, is the water temperature. As time passes, the water temperature in your bathtub drops down and requires you to constantly be adding hot water to maintain the temperature, which in turn requires large capacity water boilers, wasting water and electricity. Made of state-of-the-art AquateX™ solid surface material, the Aquatica True Ofuro Japanese style bathtub with Tranquility bath heating system is fitted with a recirculation system (just like the traditional Japanese oidaki) and ozone disinfection system. The Tranquility bathtub heating system was designed to eliminate the hot water adding hassle and maintain the water temperature at a constant 104F /40C (41-45C in Europe and other markets). The built-in Tranquility heating system is utilizing a low flow/high-efficiency ultra-quiet pump. Equipped with minimalist control panel, a standard 1.5kW inline water heater (US) or 2kW (Europe and other markets) with ozone disinfection, Bluetooth audio system, and underwater LED сhromotherapy system, the Tranquility system provides the ultimate luxury bathing experience.

In our Contemporary Bellevue Residence we wanted the aesthetic to be clean and bright. This is a similar plan to our Victoria Crest home with a few changes and different design elements. Areas of focus; large open kitchen with waterfall countertops and awning upper flat panel cabinets, elevator, interior and exterior fireplaces, floating flat panel vanities in bathrooms, home theater room, large master suite and rooftop deck. There are multiple lighting "scenes" for ambiance; low-voltage lighting inside the crown molding, and recessed can lights are discretely placed so that they can provide an extra level of illumination when requires.

This custom built beach house posed many challenged including the specific design criteria, space requirements, and limited wall space as 75% of the walls are glass. The AV closet was built into the stair spandrel, space that would have otherwise been unused. Certain walls were thickened allowing recessed TVs to sit perfectly flush with the wall. The automated buttons throughout the house control functions such as Welcome, Goodnight, & Party Mode. The home automation was designed for anyone to be able to walk into the house and use the system.
