Open, bright, and built for real living.
The main level flows effortlessly from the front entry into a generous dining space and on to the sitting area beyond. The herringbone white oak floors carry through the entire level, tying the rooms together and adding a subtle layer of craft underfoot. Black accents at the doors, windows, and furnishings give the space some backbone and keep it from feeling too precious.
A large dining table anchors the room and sits comfortably between the kitchen island and the living area, making it ideal for entertaining without walls getting in the way. Natural light pours in from the bay of windows, and thoughtful lighting fixtures add personality without competing for attention. It’s open concept done right. Connected, calm, and easy to use.

The hardscape is the backbone of your home’s exterior design. Over the years your plants will bloom, die, and be replaced, but your hardscape will outlive it all. The essential hardscape features, such as your concrete, pavers, retaining walls, and walkways provide the foundation for all other aspects of your outdoor living.

• Exposed Structural Framework: Black steel I-beams and exposed roof/mezzanine framing provide the signature industrial backbone.
• Double-Height Volume: Open-loft vertical layout with open-tread metal staircases and high glass partitions to maximize natural light and spatial flow.
• Organic Focal Point: A dramatic live-edge solid wood slab table grounds the space, contrasting sharply with the clean, geometric lines of the modern chairs.
• Textured Accent Walls: Vertical fluted wood panelling adds acoustic depth and texture, paired alongside smooth, raw cement/limewash walls.
• Layered Architectural Lighting: Bi-directional wall sconces casting geometric light beams, integrated warm LED ceiling cove lighting, and a modern brass sputnik bubble pendant light as a decorative centerpiece.

The backbone of the entire design is the multilevel paver system — installed using Belgard pavers, the professional-grade hardscape brand trusted by premium landscape contractors across North America for their durability, freeze-thaw resistance, and the quality of their surface and color consistency.
Belgard pavers were selected for this project because this backyard needed to perform at the highest level — aesthetically and structurally — through Utah's demanding seasonal range. The multilevel layout creates distinct zones at different grades: an upper entertaining level, a main patio zone, and the sunken spa level below. Each level transitions to the next through precisely constructed steps and retaining wall elements, all in the same Belgard material palette, creating visual continuity across the full space.
As a CMHA-certified contractor in pavers, Chopper Landscaping's paver installation standards go beyond surface appearance. Base preparation, drainage engineering, edge restraint specification, and compaction standards ensure that the Belgard paver system performs for decades — not just looks good on installation day.
