We created this main level living space from a builder grade drab homes interior. New paint, wall molding, furnishings and other design essentials were included to make this new home livable and comfortable.

The transformation of the client's primary bedroom into a serene sanctuary is a testament to the beauty of thoughtful design. This contemporary four-story interior design project in Alexandria, Virginia, blends luxurious comfort with modern functionality. On the rooftop, a fully furnished entertainment space invites relaxation and social gatherings with its outdoor-grade furniture upholstered in durable Sunbrella fabrics. A gas firepit serves as a cozy centerpiece, while a retractable outdoor-grade umbrella offers shade during the day. The space is perfect for lounging or evening gatherings, making it a stunning rooftop retreat. The inner loft is an intimate yet vibrant area, featuring a striking star ceiling and a stacked stone wall that adds both texture and elegance. A custom bar with pub tables and chairs creates the ideal space for games and fun, blending an industrial vibe with modern comfort. On the third level, the guest bedroom is thoughtfully designed with a rich brown leather tufted headboard and matching ottoman, complemented by custom framed Basquiat prints that add a splash of artistic flair. This family room’s design was inspired by the Hawaiian Oahu resorts with a splash of a Caribbean inspired color palette. Polished nickel hardware and Light toned cabinetry gives this family room a sophisticated beachy style. Two tiered curtains make the up look upward to vaulted ceiling. The space now features a sleek bar with floating shelves, antique mirrored glass, custom cabinets, new bar stools, and all the essentials: refrigerator, dishwasher, ice maker, and wine cooler. The renovated bathroom boasts a modern mirror, frameless shower glass, slab shower stone, hexagon tile, brass fixtures, and a custom-framed Eagles jersey. The guest bedroom is cozy and stylish with fresh carpeting, chic furnishings, a diptych art set, pendant lighting, and wall mirrors for added depth. The entryway welcomes with a seating lounge, elegant wall molding, a large mirror, and curated artwork. In the open area, we included an 8-foot pool table, LVP flooring, recessed LED lighting, and a custom mural featuring key Eagles players. A 46” cart table with chairs and custom curtains completes the look. Finally, the TV area features a revamped fireplace with stone cladding, a stylish media stand, a comfortable sectional, and swivel chairs. Light tones from new diptych art and carpeting tie it all together.

This home gym was created with CrossFit workout in mind. The heavy-duty grade Rogue Fitness rack serves as the anchor to the space. The rubber dumbbells rest on the steel rack steps away from the adjustable decline and incline bench. The ½” thick rubber flooring makes for a sound base for serious workouts as well as sound absorption for the 800-Watt micro subwoofer as well as the 300 Watt combined ceiling speakers. We added a wall of mirrors on two walls which provide depth and the illusion of the room being enlarged. The Concept 2 rower can sit upright after heavy cardio use to make room for whatever workout is thrown at the gym.

This home office was created with natural neutral color tones. The ceiling ‘s custom millwork was painted Sherwin Williams “Black Magic” in satin and flat finishes. The u-shaped walnut veneer desks’ countertop houses a XL Tyrannosaurus skull, as well as provides different work zones for varying tasks, including a motorized mechanism to convert the monitor portion of the desk to a standing desk by the push of a button. The lower cabinets are comprised of pencil drawers and lower file storage. The side backsplash wall is cladded with reclaimed pine with two floating walnut shelves flanking two cubbies. The wall perpendicular to the 49” wide 4k Samsung monitor, acts as a display wall for the proprietor’s previous work. Lastly the bold Merillat cabinets serve as hidden storage for books, samples, and other essentials.

Light grey and cream tones are meshed with brass fixtures to transform the original dated bathroom into an extravagant updated retreat. A new frameless glass shower helps make the room appear larger by exposing the expansive shower. The new reclaimed wood vanity and two-toned vanity lights infuse a bit of rustic flair.

This wall street inspired bedroom was curated for one of our most discerning clients. The 800 thread count bedding anchors the space and we added shagreen nightstands to flank the king-sized bed. The new molding at the head of the bed includes customized mirrors that we had installed. A new quartz desk space is designed for two, in those late-night work sessions. A large 65” smart television and ceiling concealed surround sound speakers ensure the client keeps a close eye on the market. A new carpet and area rug sets the tone for this contemporary bachelor space.

We included a sepia color tone over the original poster art and used this as a color palate them for the entire common area of this lower level. New premium textured carpeting covers most of the floor, and on the ceiling, we added LED lighting, Madagascar ebony beams, and a two-tone ceiling paint by Sherwin Williams. The media stand houses most of the AV equipment and the remaining is integrated into the walls using architectural speakers to comprise this 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos Setup. We included this custom sectional with performance velvet fabric, as well as a new table and leather chairs for family game night. The XL metal prints near the new regulation pool table creates an irresistible ambiance, also to the neighboring reclaimed wood dart board area. The bathroom design include new marble tile flooring and a premium frameless shower glass. The luxury chevron wallpaper gives this space a kiss of sophistication. Finalizing this lounge we included a gym with rubber flooring, fitness rack, row machine as well as custom mural which infuses visual fuel to the owner’s workout. The Everlast speedbag is positioned in the perfect place for those late night or early morning cardio workouts. Lastly, we included Polk Audio architectural ceiling speakers meshed with an SVS micros 3000, 800-Watt subwoofer.

We used raised panel traditional cabinets as well as a Magma Black granite countertop to assist in this lower-level game rooms aesthetic and function. A new undermount sink, brass faucet, and cabinet pulls made this space more creatively inviting. The gold and black marble backsplash ties in the golds and cherry cabinets seamlessly. We were also sure to include proper cabinet lighting for function and setting the spaces mood.
