Rudloff Custom BuildersWe converted what used to be this home’s master bedroom suite into a study and home office. We really enjoyed creating the built in book shelves for this study. These custom units feature open and adjustable shelving, and full roll out drawers for bottom storage. Connected to the study is a quiet home office and a powder room. Red oak hardwood floors run throughout the study and office.
This light and airy home in Chadds Ford, PA, was a custom home renovation for long-time clients that included the installation of red oak hardwood floors, the master bedroom, master bathroom, two powder rooms, living room, dining room, study, foyer and staircase. remodel included the removal of an existing deck, replacing it with a beautiful flagstone patio. Each of these spaces feature custom, architectural millwork and custom built-in cabinetry or shelving. A special showcase piece is the continuous, millwork throughout the 3-story staircase. The bathrooms as very sleek and modern, with flat panel, high gloss cabinetry, white quartz counters, and gray porcelain tile floors. The basement features a main living area with a play area and a wet bar, an exercise room, a home theatre and a bathroom. These areas, too, are sleek and modern with gray laminate flooring, unique lighting, and a gray and white color palette that ties the area together.

Beahm & Son, Ltd.This project is a complete remodel of the clients old master bathroom into a new master bath and guest bathroom. The old master bath was a dated early 90's style bath with porcelain tiled tub stand and a carpet floor. We broke apart the old master bath and turned it into a usable guest bathroom and master bathroom. These new spaces offer a more stylish design and plenty of modern conveniences. Because we were doing a double bathroom remodel we decided to go with a different theme for each room. A warm theme for the guest bathroom, with reds and creams, and a cool theme for the master bathroom, with blues and whites.
This project ran into a few hiccups along the way but thanks to a understanding client and a constant drive to get everything done right we created a space that everyone should love.
Deckscapes IncDeckscapes designed and built this porch in the Davidson, NC area. We worked closely with the homeowner to understand what they were looking for in an outdoor room and how we could work together to accomplish their vision. The floor of the porch is 5" Tongue and Groove treated pine decking. It was stained with a Sherwin Williams oil based stain to match their interior hardwood flooring. The porch walls are constructed with 6"x6" Cox laminated columns and a 2x6 mid rail along with black, round aluminum ballusters. EZE Breeze vertical 4 Track porch windows in white frames and charcoal fiberglass screens were added to the exterior along with glass window panes in all the gable areas. The porch roof is a shed roof design with an open gable in the center. This makes trimming the ceiling slightly more difficult but really adds to the look and openness of the room's final feel (plus we love the way it looks when completed). Recessed lighting (6 cans) and 2 Hunter ceiling fans were added to the ceiling. A dimmer switch was added to the lights to really give the room some ambiance at night. The ceiling was finished in a Sherwin Williams semi transparent stain and the walls were painted white to match the house exterior trim. To complete the final product we added a 1x4 English lattice around the perimeter and painted it white to match the porch. We added some speakers inside the porch and a 36" Larson Savannah storm door from the stairs down to the paver patio. After the room was tastefully decorated by our clients I know that they will really Enjoy Being Outside.

This brownstone, located in Harlem, consists of five stories which had been duplexed to create a two story rental unit and a 3 story home for the owners. The owner hired us to do a modern renovation of their home and rear garden. The garden was under utilized, barely visible from the interior and could only be accessed via a small steel stair at the rear of the second floor. We enlarged the owner’s home to include the rear third of the floor below which had walk out access to the garden. The additional square footage became a new family room connected to the living room and kitchen on the floor above via a double height space and a new sculptural stair. The rear facade was completely restructured to allow us to install a wall to wall two story window and door system within the new double height space creating a connection not only between the two floors but with the outside. The garden itself was terraced into two levels, the bottom level of which is directly accessed from the new family room space, the upper level accessed via a few stone clad steps. The upper level of the garden features a playful interplay of stone pavers with wood decking adjacent to a large seating area and a new planting bed. Wet bar cabinetry at the family room level is mirrored by an outside cabinetry/grill configuration as another way to visually tie inside to out. The second floor features the dining room, kitchen and living room in a large open space. Wall to wall builtins from the front to the rear transition from storage to dining display to kitchen; ending at an open shelf display with a fireplace feature in the base. The third floor serves as the children’s floor with two bedrooms and two ensuite baths. The fourth floor is a master suite with a large bedroom and a large bathroom bridged by a walnut clad hall that conceals a closet system and features a built in desk. The master bath consists of a tiled partition wall dividing the space to create a large walkthrough shower for two on one side and showcasing a free standing tub on the other. The house is full of custom modern details such as the recessed, lit handrail at the house’s main stair, floor to ceiling glass partitions separating the halls from the stairs and a whimsical builtin bench in the entry.
Distinctive Interior DesignsWe designed and delivered a perfectly hidden kitchen laundry and, can you believe, it adds tremendous style to this new open space Moorestown, New Jersey kitchen?! Besides figuring out what to do with the washer and dryer, the client asked for a large table island, fun green accenting, and wood details.
To truly understand the challenge we had with this project, please look at the befores first — a small space condo kitchen that had a stacked washer & dryer fully exposed. Solutions: knock out a wall to open things up to the dining room, and somehow enclose the washer and dryer. Besides now having a tremendously functional open space kitchen with an electic mix of modern and transitional that is ‘perfectly Theresa’, the laundry space now adds style. It’s amazing how the caning on the doors became a statement element!
How fun! We truly managed to hide a washer & dryer in plain sight and add beauty!

The site is located near the historic 1960 Olympic Nordic track, situated on the edge of wetlands and seasonal streams.
The homeowners were previous clients and dreamt of having a retreat in the Sierras away from their home base in Berkeley, CA. Among skiers, bike riders, hikers, and boaters, they found the ideal central location for their home base near Lake Tahoe.
The home is organized as a series of linked spaces, each providing a unique sensory experience and connection to different parts of the site, both vertically and horizontally. The design includes extensive use of glass to create a true indoor/outdoor connection and maximize natural light. At the center of the site are two large fir trees, which the building respectfully wraps around in an L shape to create a focal point in the landscaped courtyard.
A refined, context-driven palette of natural materials including cedar, oak, fir, and steel is used to harmoniously blend in among the surroundings. The construction includes advanced details such as thermally broken steel beams supporting layered roof planes engineered to hold snow rather than shed it. Designed to resist significant load, we exposed the steel structure as a recurring element in the interior spaces. The resulting columns and support beams contribute to the familiar design aspects of each room and provide a better understanding of how the building was constructed. The second floor features cantilevered volumes that reach out into the nearby evergreen limbs, likening the experience to being in a tree house. The house incorporates features such as radiant heating, solar panels, and operable windows for passive cooling. Fire safety measures include the use of naturally fire-resistant materials, a Class A roof construction, sprinklers, and drought-tolerant landscaping beyond the defensible space.

FiveSTAR LandscapeThe owners of this property were avid entertainers who enjoy opening up their space for friends and family. The design's primary objective was to create an inviting space for mingling and socializing. Situated in Houston's West University area on a compact lot, our focus was on accommodating gatherings of varying sizes.
The focal point of this design is a bubbling water feature, that enhances the space with a touch of color and soothing water sounds, complemented by a base of Mexican beach pebbles. Stamped and stained concrete compose the walkway and patio, purposefully designed to encourage conversation around the water feature and to provide a dedicated outdoor dining and gathering area.
Understanding the owners' love for their canine companions, we integrated pet-friendly synthetic turf. This sustainable and low-maintenance choice offers a space where owners can enjoy quality moments with their beloved pets.
We built a Western Red Cedar Fence around the property and installed Eagleston Holly trees at the perimeter for enhanced privacy. These trees will mature to an impressive 15 feet.
Texas native plants, Loropetalum and Variegated Ginger, were thoughtfully incorporated throughout the design. In the evenings, carefully positioned soft LED lighting adds allure and highlights specific facets of the design. We obscured the A/C by installing an A/C screen that matches the Western Red Cedar Fence.
The result of this design is an elevated space, ideal for hosting, while remaining low-maintenance and sustainable. This ensures that owners can fully embrace quality time with their family and pets, without the burden of extensive upkeep.

Even prior to signing a contract with us, Mr Taylor (Kerry) was very patient with us and generous in sharing information pertaining to remodel options, material choices and general advice. At least one other dedicated 'Remodeler' we contacted thought we were too much of a nuisance and suggested we sign up before he could spend more time with us.
Kerry has a very transparent pricing policy, which allows someone unfamiliar with the scope of the work ( us) to understand the cost implications of each step or feature. His style allows complete flexibility in material choice. He also has a roster of 'favored suppliers' who extend sensible pricing to his clients.
Kerry also accommodates change requests at reasonable cost, while only requiring sufficient advance notice. Further, he was honest about not having expertise in certain features I wanted implemented - he executed them well anyway.
The job was very well planned and executed, with perhaps only one silent day in over 8 weeks of effort. We are very happy with this aspect also. Kerry remained very responsive to any issues or requests through the duration of the project.
We of course had set backs and surprises (+$) through the course of this project, but perhaps that is par for course.
Finally, a word about his crew: They were all courteous, trustworthy, efficient and pleasant. We were comfortable with their presence at home. "

At the center of the site are two large fir trees, which the building respectfully wraps around in an L shape to create a focal point in the landscaped courtyard.
A refined, context-driven palette of natural materials including cedar, oak, fir, and steel is used to harmoniously blend in among the surroundings. The construction includes advanced details such as thermally broken steel beams supporting layered roof planes engineered to hold snow rather than shed it. Designed to resist significant load, we exposed the steel structure as a recurring element in the interior spaces. The resulting columns and support beams contribute to the familiar design aspects of each room and provide a better understanding of how the building was constructed. The second floor features cantilevered volumes that reach out into the nearby evergreen limbs, likening the experience to being in a tree house. The house incorporates features such as radiant heating, solar panels, and operable windows for passive cooling. Fire safety measures include the use of naturally fire-resistant materials, a Class A roof construction, sprinklers, and drought-tolerant landscaping beyond the defensible space.

It made a strong impression, stored for future consideration but the impetus for the design came soon after the spring snow melt. A powerful sense of horizontal layering of vegetation and various stages of decomposing downed timber on the two-acre site, juxtaposed with pine and fir trees and the dense canopy of the surrounding forest. The site is located near the historic 1960 Olympic Nordic track, situated on the edge of wetlands and seasonal streams.
The homeowners were previous clients and dreamt of having a retreat in the Sierras away from their home base in Berkeley, CA. Among skiers, bike riders, hikers, and boaters, they found the ideal central location for their home base near Lake Tahoe.

FiveSTAR LandscapeThe owners of this property were avid entertainers who enjoy opening up their space for friends and family. The design's primary objective was to create an inviting space for mingling and socializing. Situated in Houston's West University area on a compact lot, our focus was on accommodating gatherings of varying sizes.
The focal point of this design is a bubbling water feature, that enhances the space with a touch of color and soothing water sounds, complemented by a base of Mexican beach pebbles. Stamped and stained concrete compose the walkway and patio, purposefully designed to encourage conversation around the water feature and to provide a dedicated outdoor dining and gathering area.
Understanding the owners' love for their canine companions, we integrated pet-friendly synthetic turf. This sustainable and low-maintenance choice offers a space where owners can enjoy quality moments with their beloved pets.
We built a Western Red Cedar Fence around the property and installed Eagleston Holly trees at the perimeter for enhanced privacy. These trees will mature to an impressive 15 feet.
Texas native plants, Loropetalum and Variegated Ginger, were thoughtfully incorporated throughout the design. In the evenings, carefully positioned soft LED lighting adds allure and highlights specific facets of the design. We obscured the A/C by installing an A/C screen that matches the Western Red Cedar Fence.
The result of this design is an elevated space, ideal for hosting, while remaining low-maintenance and sustainable. This ensures that owners can fully embrace quality time with their family and pets, without the burden of extensive upkeep.
