A close up of the well-stocked bar. These custom bar cabinets in the homeowners' favorite hue combine beautifully with solid reclaimed walnut floating shelves. The floating shelves and the glass-front upper cabinets are perfect for displaying spirits and glassware.

The side of the staircase was a natural place to create a built-in TV and entertainment center with adjustable shelving and lots of storage. This space is bright and welcoming, and the open floor plan allows for easy entertaining.
Welcome to this sports lover’s paradise in West Chester, PA! We started with the completely blank palette of an unfinished basement and created space for everyone in the family by adding a main television watching space, a play area, a bar area, a full bathroom and an exercise room. The floor is COREtek engineered hardwood, which is waterproof and durable, and great for basements and floors that might take a beating. Combining wood, steel, tin and brick, this modern farmhouse looking basement is chic and ready to host family and friends to watch sporting events!

This remodel was inspired by a Houzz picture I saw a few weeks ago. We have a basement with great spaces, but it was never fully developed by the previous owners. When we moved in, it was underutilized because it wasn't warm or inviting. Step one of our basement remodel project involved putting in a comfortable, family room living space that was comfy enough for the kids to watch movies and play video games, but also manly enough to have in a man-cave worthy basement when the guys come over to watch the game.
I used Eldorado Stacked Stone for the walls (Chapel Hill was the stone name), and the custom looking book shelves are from IKEA. I just built around everything to give it a custom look. This only cost us about $1500 - including the stone, shelves, entertainment center, lights, etc. The TV is not include in that price. ;-)

The homeowners were ready to renovate this basement to add more living space for the entire family. Before, the basement was used as a playroom, guest room and dark laundry room! In order to give the illusion of higher ceilings, the acoustical ceiling tiles were removed and everything was painted white. The renovated space is now used not only as extra living space, but also a room to entertain in.

This used to be an awkward nook in the corner of a basement, now it is a beautiful entertainment center with lots of useful drawers and cabinet space. The display lights are controlled by a touch dimmer switch and the all the wiring for the lights, speakers, and other electronics is hidden in the space behind the built-in.

The Kristin Entertainment center has been everyone's favorite at Mallory Park, 15 feet long by 9 feet high, solid wood construction, plenty of storage, white oak shelves, and a shiplap backdrop.

The TV area is nestled in a corner and features a beautiful custom built-in entertainment center complete with inset lighting and comfortable seating for watching your favorite movie or sports team.

This picture was taken shortly after installation, and right after the furniture was delivered. What was once a blank wall has been transformed into a multi-functional entertainment center, complete with carriage doors that hide a large flat-screen TV, bookshelves galore, and twelve drawers for storage. The original door to the right was removed and replaced with a knotty alder door complete with a speak-easy insert. Note that the piece fits seamlessly against the log walls on either side. The artisan who built this took pride in scribing the wood to the logs, making it appear to have been there all along.
