West Virginia Basic White Kitchen
This is a kitchen that we did in a small house in West Virginia. It had a 1970's oak kitchen and needed a face lift. We used moderately priced appliances, Shaker style flat panel cupboards and a soapstone sink with curly maple oil finish counter tops. The fridge is a panel ready 36'' Jenn Air.

A kitchen with more personality—and a lot more intention.
For this remodel, the goal was to move away from a basic look and bring in something more current and visually impactful. We introduced a matte gray cabinet finish that adds depth while still keeping the space neutral and easy to live with.
To complement the color, we used a Shaker Slim door style—clean, simple lines that give the kitchen a more modern edge without feeling overdone.
The result is a space that feels updated, balanced, and full of character—proof that the right combination of color and style can completely change the look of a kitchen.

Stylish brewery owners with airline miles that match George Clooney’s decided to hire Regan Baker Design to transform their beloved Duboce Park second home into an organic modern oasis reflecting their modern aesthetic and sustainable, green conscience lifestyle. From hops to floors, we worked extensively with our design savvy clients to provide a new footprint for their kitchen, dining and living room area, redesigned three bathrooms, reconfigured and designed the master suite, and replaced an existing spiral staircase with a new modern, steel staircase. We collaborated with an architect to expedite the permit process, as well as hired a structural engineer to help with the new loads from removing the stairs and load bearing walls in the kitchen and Master bedroom. We also used LED light fixtures, FSC certified cabinetry and low VOC paint finishes.
Regan Baker Design was responsible for the overall schematics, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, as well as the selection and procurement of all fixtures, cabinets, equipment, furniture, and accessories.

Conceived more similar to a loft type space rather than a traditional single family home, the homeowner was seeking to challenge a normal arrangement of rooms in favor of spaces that are dynamic in all 3 dimensions, interact with the yard, and capture the movement of light and air.
As an artist that explores the beauty of natural objects and scenes, she tasked us with creating a building that was not precious - one that explores the essence of its raw building materials and is not afraid of expressing them as finished.
We designed opportunities for kinetic fixtures, many built by the homeowner, to allow flexibility and movement.
The result is a building that compliments the casual artistic lifestyle of the occupant as part home, part work space, part gallery. The spaces are interactive, contemplative, and fun.
More details to come.

"The gorgeous crown molding along with decorative glass door inserts and contrasting color detail offers a cool, built-in look with an integrated seating area for removing footwear. Seamlessly blending into the existing space, this well-designed system maintains order in this busy area of home."
"Hanging rods, drawers, doors and shelves transform a cluttered and disordered hall closet or entryway into a space of functional organization allowing people to come and go with ease."
