Here's what our clients from this project had to say:
We LOVE coming home to our newly remodeled and beautiful 41 West designed and built home! It was such a pleasure working with BJ Barone and especially Paul Widhalm and the entire 41 West team. Everyone in the organization is incredibly professional and extremely responsive. Personal service and strong attention to the client and details are hallmarks of the 41 West construction experience. Paul was with us every step of the way as was Ed Jordon (Gary David Designs), a 41 West highly recommended designer. When we were looking to build our dream home, we needed a builder who listened and understood how to bring our ideas and dreams to life. They succeeded this with the utmost honesty, integrity and quality!
41 West has exceeded our expectations every step of the way, and we have been overwhelmingly impressed in all aspects of the project. It has been an absolute pleasure working with such devoted, conscientious, professionals with expertise in their specific fields. Paul sets the tone for excellence and this level of dedication carries through the project. We so appreciated their commitment to perfection...So much so that we also hired them for two more remodeling projects.
We love our home and would highly recommend 41 West to anyone considering building or remodeling a home.

This adorable beach cottage is in the heart of the village of La Jolla in San Diego. The goals were to brighten up the space and be the perfect beach get-away for the client whose permanent residence is in Arizona. Some of the ways we achieved the goals was to place an extra high custom board and batten in the great room and by refinishing the kitchen cabinets (which were in excellent shape) white. We created interest through extreme proportions and contrast. Though there are a lot of white elements, they are all offset by a smaller portion of very dark elements. We also played with texture and pattern through wallpaper, natural reclaimed wood elements and rugs. This was all kept in balance by using a simplified color palate minimal layering.
I am so grateful for this client as they were extremely trusting and open to ideas. To see what the space looked like before the remodel you can go to the gallery page of the website www.cmnaturaldesigns.com

With four teenagers in the house we needed to give them plenty of room for when their friends come over! Each room has LVP on the floors which is both durable and easy to maintain. We also chose to follow the ceiling line and panel half way up the wall with wood painted white. The ceiling is shiplap and lends to the nautical feel. A pop of color on the rear window lends to the casual beachy vibe of the room. We framed an array of surf and ocean photographs we found from a seller on Etsy. Striped bedding and a wood plank headboard completed the room!

Every corner of Chip and Bethany Herweghs' home says: Welcome to paradise. "Even our 'formal' living room is informal," Bethany says, gesturing toward a pair of rattan armchairs and a wicker trunk that doubles as a coffee table. She selected tiles in a sea-glass palette of blues, greens, and yellows for the fireplace, and painted bookcase backs and hutches cobalt and aqua. In this photo: Bethany got to have crisp white walls ("Whisper" by Dunn-Edwards) and color, too, thanks to bookcases backed in vivid blue (similar to "Fantasy" by Olympic) and a fireplace clad in tiles by Ann Sacks. The living room's Quatrine sofa sports a family-friendly slipcover. The rattan wing chairs are from Mecox Gardens, and the coffee table is actually a vintage wicker trunk. Bright Idea: Behind these doors on the mantel? A TV, tucked into a recess above the nonworking fireplace. Source: Country Living Magazine

Embracing the vintage, and her love for Shabby Chic style, this coastal beach client wanted to retain her original stove, as well as her original kitchen cabinets. We also kept all her vintage china and old appliances. We removed the old tile counter and backsplash, and replaced them with a butcherblock countertop from IKEA, and beadboard backsplash. The farmhouse sink and bridge faucet and vintage style chandelier were also purchased for the new space. Since my client doesn't use the old stove very often, she opted for no hood above the stove. The breakfast nook is quite tiny yet still suitable for morning breakfasts for two.

Bright, white, clean and contemporary are words used to describe this dining room. Unique, contemporary lighting adds art to an open room with no wall. The large oval glass and chrome table is the centerpiece for the room surrounded by classic leather chairs in white.
