A 'slow-designed' bathroom that places importance on using sustainable materials while supporting the community at large. It is our belief that beautiful bathrooms don't have to cost our earth. Our goal with this project was to use materials that were kinder to our planet while still offering a design impact through aesthetics. We scouted for tile suppliers who are conscious of their environmental impact and found a Canadian maker of the terrazzo tile. It is a mix of marble, granite and natural stone aggregate hand cast in a cement base. We then paired that with a ceramic tile, one of the most eco-friendly options and partnered with local tradespeople to craft this highly functional and statement-making bathroom.

Inspiration for a timeless bedroom remodel in Orange County

DUTCHish.com Nestled at the foot of Rocky Mountain National Park is a modern cabin that celebrates the outdoors. The home wraps up from the site, framing the Great Room with views of the meadows and mountain range beyond. Keep it simple: rustic materials meet modern form to make a timeless home. The owners sought a space that enabled them to engage with the grandeur of the Rockies, embodied their beliefs in sustainability and provided a home for entertaining friends and guests alike.

The 8,000 sq. ft. Riverstone Residence was a new build Modern Masterpiece overlooking the manicured lawns of the prestigious Riverstone neighborhood that was in need of a cutting edge, modern yet classic spirit.' The interiors remain true to Rehman’s belief in mixing styles, eras and selections, bringing together the stars of the past with today’s emerging artists to create environments that are at once inviting, comfortable and seductive. The powder room was designed to give guests a separate experience from the rest of the space. Combining tiled walls with a hand-painted custom wall design, various materials play together to tell a story of a dark yet glamorous space with an edgy twist.

The new owners opted to replace the aging, historically inappropriate vinyl siding on this Wicker Park single family home with double-dipped McNear “Limehouse" thin brick. Believe it or not, there's a red brick under those two coats of limewash! Initially, these easy-going homeowners sought out a pure white brick, but ended up using this rustic alternative instead. Notes of the red brick subtly peek through the lime, giving the residence an old world flavor. These bricks were attached using Glen Gery ThinTech panels, and will be sealed soon to protect the wash and allow for easy maintenance. Contrary to popular belief, siding is actually more expensive to take care of over time than masonry! A special shoutout goes to woman-owned business D. Jones Construction, whose interest in learning all about this unique product before install was welcomed and appreciated!

Glass shade pieces gloriously inspire the surrounding design using angled cuts and half sphere shapes while an elongated body style accents its candelabra focal point. The blended metals of copper, steel, and brass dynamically elevate the allure of an old retired Ford engine pulley with new life and purpose. A series of triangular brass links running down its exterior is an abstract representation of the chain of beliefs that bind us all.
