Elegant living room photo in Seattle

This casita was completely renovated from floor to ceiling in preparation of Airbnb short term romantic getaways. The color palette of teal green, blue and white was brought to life with curated antiques that were stripped of their dark stain colors, collected fine linens, fine plaster wall finishes, authentic Turkish rugs, antique and custom light fixtures, original oil paintings and moorish chevron tile and Moroccan pattern choices.

This dining room update was part of an ongoing project with the main goal of updating the 1990's spaces while creating a comfortable, sophisticated design aesthetic. New pieces were incorporated with existing family heirlooms.

Charming modern European guest cottage with Spanish and moroccan influences located on the coast of Baja! This casita was designed with airbnb short stay guests in mind. The sleeping area is large in feel, although considered a studio by design, houses a lovely queen size canopy bed draped with fine linen and dressed in layers of luxurious bed linens with a flickering Moravian star hanging above for truly a romantic feel. The bed is flanked with a pair of customized bedside tables using sections of a vintage wrought iron gate as decorative supports. The custom "open swing" wood windows have hand forged iron slide latches with Italian tassels hanging from each one. The windows are draped with indigo blue and bone striped Turkish cotton towels made into drapery panels. Shared with the living room area you'll find a hand plastered beehive fireplace, a pair of exquisite vintage leather bergere chairs with matching ottomans facing a wall mount roku tv and gorgeous antique buffet used as a credenza to hold books, games and extra linens perfect for relaxation enjoying the custom wall fountain and charming patio area through the salvaged black French doors.

A view of the entire room, a French inspired formal Living room which is used every day. The French doors look out on a small patio, with an assortment of container plantings, and these doors are screened from the street by trees. Hunter Douglas Clear-View Silhouettes provide enhanced view at the doors, compared to the Silhouette used at the window near the sidewalk. Over the doors, the award-nominated Balloon valances match the Balloon shade on the window. They can be raised to clear the doors as needed. To assist the client in getting to the lift mechanism for the valance, a small vintage footstool was found and upholstered in fabric matching the Bergere chairs. Design by Linda H.
