If we only built one arch, it might have gotten lonely, So we built two. Together they bracket a travertine slab above the fireplace, each with a white oak chest and a set of impossibly thin floating shelves. It is our pleasure to introduce project Scarlett. The natural light in this room approaches biblical. Our client's choice of lime plaster for the walls fits well with our rift-sawn white oak built-ins. How we fabricated these shelves so thin — without a visible fixing in sight — is proprietary. That one's going down with the company. The drawers run on Blum's Movento Tip-On mechanism, which gives us the push-to-open detail. This millwork project, including all white oak surfaces, was fabricated, assembled, and finished at our Toronto shop using Rubio Monocoat in pure.
