For the bathroom, we went for a moody and classic look. Sticking with a black and white color palette, we have chosen a classic subway tile for the shower walls and a black and white hex for the bathroom floor. The black vanity and floral wallpaper brought some emotion into the space and adding the champagne brass plumbing fixtures and brass mirror was the perfect pop.

Black and white carry throughout this crisp powder room: black and white marble floor tiles, black and white graphic wallpaper, and a black and white double wall sconce. Elegant white bathroom fixtures, including the pedestal sink, and a long narrow silver framed rectangular mirror bring additional brightness to this small powder room. WKD’s experience in historic preservation and antique curation restored this gentleman’s farm into a casual, comfortable, livable home for the next chapter in this couple’s lives. The project included a new family entrance and mud room, new powder room, and opening up some of the rooms for better circulation. While WKD curated the client’s existing collection of art and antiques, refurbishing where necessary, new furnishings were also added to give the home a new lease on life. We took a dated bathroom that you had to walk through the shower to get to the outdoors, covered in cream polished marble and gave it a completely new look. The function of this bathroom is outstanding from the large shower with dual heads to the extensive vanity with a sitting area for the misses to put on her makeup. We even hid a hamper in the pullout linen tower. Easy maintenance with porcelian tiles in the shower and a beautiful tile accent featured at the tub.

This Master Bathroom was dated, dark, and in dire need of an overhaul. Our clients were inspired by a vacation home and wanted black and white basket-weave tile and tiled wainscoting. We used traditional plumbing fixtures, cabinets, and finishes that would complement the tile. We modernized the shower with dual shower heads, DTV, and teak seat. Detailed tile plans were executed to ensure the tile was impeccably installed throughout. This bath was further enhanced with added lighting and radiant heat flooring. This project was a complete home design plan for a large new construction luxury home on the south-end of Mercer Island. The contrasting colors utilized throughout emit a chic modern vibe while the complementing darker tones invites a sense of warmth to this modern farmhouse style.
