Technology and function.
While a TV is the centerpiece of a traditional family room, Ferrer eschewed the eyesore of a wall-mounted TV and tucked it away in a custom-built Cabinet Tronix television cabinet. With a touch of a button, the TV emerges, neatly and discretely, connected to half a dozen media peripherals, including a Blu-Ray player and X-Box, which are also hidden away, enclosed in a compartment at the bottom of the unit.
Inside the cabinet, the family’s former tiny TV was upsized and upgraded with a 43" TCL Roku TV. Since streaming is the new cable, the family cut the cord, and cost, and now uses a TERK Trinity Indoor Amplified HDTV antenna to get basic channels sans subscription.
Atop the cabinet, a stylish Sonos Playbar connects to the TV via optical cable and lends rich AV sound. The app-controlled system connects with other Sonos speakers in the house to stream free and paid playlists from sites like Pandora, Amazon Music, and Spotify. To amplify Wi-Fi throughout the house, a TP-Link VR900 modem/router is paired with the eero extender system to boost bufferless audio and video streaming.
Above the lift cabinet, Ferrer used the wall space as a projection screen for a ZTE Spro2 projector. The palm-sized tablet-like projector transforms the living room into a cinema, streaming directly from the device or connecting to other devices via USB or HDMI cable.
After some research, Ferrer learned that the best color wall for projection was not white, as one might expect, but grey. She chose Sherwin-Williams Passive Gray to make the colors pop and show vividly on the wall.

Second floor mechanical closet. On the right: CERV2 conditioning energy recovery ventilator for superior indoor air quality and CO2 and VOC monitoring. Installed with the addition of a "Geo-Boost" heat exchanger with a ground loop around the foundation. Pre-heats or cools air depending on time of year for 15% boos in efficiency. To right: Mitsubishi heat pump heating and cooling, one unit for entire home. Super energy efficient, both products.

Job done:
Demolition of the old kitchen and all drywall
Installation of 20+ ft steel structural I-beam, increasing kitchen size, new electrical, plumbing, Quiet Rock Sheetrock (to boost sound insulation), 33 fire-rated and sound insulated recessed lights (in the entire apartment).
Design and installation of new cabinets, countertop, backsplash, floor tile, wooden floors and appliances.

By transforming the dining room into a Butler’s Pantry and adding a new office, we boosted both space and usability. The kitchen now shines with a cohesive style, better flow, and updated elegance.

This spectacular Lookout Mtn. estate looks like it would fit equally well in the Cotswold region of England. We arrived at a landscape filled with mass plantings of generic shrubs, very few perennials, few blooming shrubs, and a lack of Winter interest. We completely reworked the gardens…Added many more Boxwoods, Azaleas, Laurels, Yews, Osmanthus, Magnolia to boost the structure needed and add year-round interest. Then we added loads of white blooming hydrangea, Nepeta, Veronica, Roses for long term color. Espaliered Fruit Trees, Topiary and Tree Formed Hydrangeas added the formality and interest needed to bring in needed “old world” charm. We added large boulders to an otherwise underwhelming Dry Creek Bed and added all Native Plants in that area including Clethera and Itea.
I envisioned a very formal parterre garden surrounding a fountain and added evergreen to soften the structure. Boxwood Topiary were placed in the center of each quadrant. I suggested formal planters with clipped evergreen boxwood to dress up the front of the large garage and the pool areas. Over- all this property exudes old world charm and elegance.

What do you do when your master suite addition is limited in width. It is not an issue for the bedroom since it enjoys the full width of the 16' but what about the bathroom and closet that you need to be grand in design as well?
In this bathroom you can see the solution to this age-old question, how to make a narrow space look grand.
The end of this bathroom boosts a huge 9' wide by 6' deep shower wet area with a freestanding tub on one side and a bench, niche and window on the other.
The vaulted ceiling above has 3 large skylights with one of them directly above the shower area. The skylights provide a huge amount of natural light that cancels any need for artificial lighting to be used during the daytime.
The main wall is dark Pietra grigio porcelain book matched slabs, while the sides are 48"x48" off-white porcelain tiles. The plumbing fixtures are Kohler Anthem digital control for the minimalistic look.
Right before you get into the wet area you will have a niche with a built-in seating area the doubles as a storage/laundry cabinet and two thick shelves made of Alder wood to compliment the vanity, the beam and the water closet door.
A 10' vanity with a large 9.5' mirror is a great trick to create a sensation of space in the narrow 5' passageway.
The final touch is the hidden water closet, the space was taken from the Walk-in closet entry area to hide the toilet from the beautiful spa looking bathroom.
The last item to be mentioned is the heated floor that is controlled by a timer to make sure the flooring is warm to the touch on the cold winter nights.
The walk-in closet was custom built to accommodate all the client’s storage requirements, the different deeper and shallower niches that were created by space added to the bathroom are used for shallow wall led mirror or a deeper suites hanger and the crown jewel of this closet the steam closet by LG that provide the capabilities of a steamer / dry-cleaning in your private closet space.
A center drawer cabinet with glass top cabinets with built-in LED strips and puck lights create a lovely ambient lighting if needed and show casing the different perfumes and handbags.
Talking about show casing, how about the his/hers shoes towers on each side of the cabinets in the middle?
The master bedroom is a bit more craftsman and cozy.
Whitewashed shiplap on the vaulted ceiling creates a more of a countryside look with vast number of windows and a sliding door to allow both eastern and western light to penetrate the room.

Standard Sealcoating recently completed a comprehensive driveway sealcoating project in Oxford, Massachusetts, which included essential crack filling and repair services. In Oxford, our process began with a meticulous assessment of the driveway's condition, pinpointing and addressing any cracks or imperfections that could undermine its structural integrity. Our expert team skillfully filled and repaired these cracks, ensuring a smooth and uniform surface. Following the repair work, we applied a premium sealcoat to the entire driveway, resulting in a rich, jet-black finish. The Murray small kitchen remodel demonstrated the immense potential of a small kitchen makeover. We started by stripping everything to the studs, enabling us to redesign the layout and make adjustments to the kitchen's overall flow.
In the design layout, we closed off a doorway to allow more wall space for additional full custom cabinetry and appliances, enhancing the kitchen's functionality. We extended the counters and repositioned the refrigerator to improve the workspace and flow.
The new island, highlighted with pendant lighting and set on stylish hardwood flooring, became the focal point, providing extra counter space and a gathering spot. Additional features like under-cabinet lighting, a touch-activated faucet, and a custom hood boosted the kitchen's overall appeal and practicality.
Modern elements like the integrated speed oven in the island cabinetry, and the new hardwood flooring throughout, completed the transformation. The Murray kitchen remodel project successfully combined style and function, transforming a modest kitchen into a warm, inviting, and efficient space.

And you thought Cambria was just for countertops. Not at all! Look what this homeowner did in their newly remodeled master suite. They were looking for something to give their master bath a fresh, clean look and the mornings a little boost (not coffee!). This Cambria Windermere shower surround, tub deck, and vanity did the trick. It's a favorite spot in their home now.
To complement the bathroom, the couple opted for Cambria Hollinsbrook for the master closet countertops.

The European kitchen "slab" cabinets or in their more common name the flat panel cabinets became popular more than 3-4 decades ago across the European continent and in the past decade or so started to show in the US as well. The owners of this kitchen were looking to create a semi-open kitchen and Livingroom design with a clean and sunbathed kitchen space.
To create an open concept but still divided space we utilized the ceiling instead of the walls.
All the walls were removed but the ceiling of the kitchen remained at normal height while the Livingroom boosted vaulted ceilings, this way the two spaces were separately defined.
The 2 large corner windows were preserved, and the sink was relocated to that corner of the kitchen and to add additional light we framed a new entry door made by Rustica. This door is all glass with a thin frame of steel gave another much needed light penetration to the kitchen space.
The island design includes waterfall panels made from the same cabinet material instead of the countertop stone.
The upper cabinets color matches the wall paint thus making them almost invisible in the space.
