The powder room in the home was also updated, and tucked underneath the first-floor stairwell. They were able to borrow space from a wall shared with the family room and from unused cabinet space in the neighboring kitchen. Unifying paneled walls were installed and topped with a glossy lacquer finish. Beth Singer Photographer, Inc.

Adding a koi poind creates an amazing design feature to this pool and patio design. Historic archway incorporates the borrowed landscape and gives you a window to pier into the Sound

This project consists of a carport addition, bedroom/home-office addition, and a bathroom addition. We borrowed elements from the exterior of the 1895 Greek revival style, and incorporated those in the design of the carport. The owner is an art collector and art gallery owner. She wanted the design of the addition to allow for the display of her artwork. The addition begins to the left of the umbrella, and is intended to provide a clear division between new and old. The removal of a large, brick chimney and some disjointed structural beams in the original house allowed the dining room to have spacious access to the new open kitchen. A new built-in china hutch added some much needed storage, borrowing space from the mudroom storage behind the wall. This ingenious solution allowed for extra depth without intruding into the dining room.

This English Country Manor borrows from historical Tudor styles and architects such as Sir Edward Lutyens.

A quintessential 1925 bungalow located in the charming neighborhood of Virginia Highland in Atlanta, this project included a renovation of the kitchen, family room and powder room on the first floor, and the laundry and primary bath on the second. The Copper Sky Design + Remodel team reconfigured the first floor to better accommodate additional cabinetry and an island in the kitchen by borrowing space from what was a full bathroom and converting it to a half bath. Upstairs, unfinished attic space was converted to a roomy laundry room while the 200 square foot primary bath remained in its original footprint.

This lovely open kitchen in an 1888 Victorian gave the homeowners an open space without adding any square footage. Opening a wall, borrowing space from a huge hallway and taking advantage of the high ceilings resulted in a wonderful entertaining space for family and friends.

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. If you hate your brick or just want something unique this is a great option!

Borrowing valuable inches from a redundant hallway and undersized pantry area the project kept a footprint to not infringe on the other living spaces. A wood ceiling of stained pine mirrors the original heart pine flooring and resolved repairs to an 100 year old plaster ceiling. A generous L shape work zone on one side is paired with a straight run with the refrigerator and stove area for a balanced space for multiple cooks.
