Large family Dining table in open plan barn conversion. Legs of the dining table are original workbench used in the Threshing barn before it was converted. The wood for the table was a local tree that was falling down.
Dining chairs are from a range of vintage sources. The end chairs are from an old headmistresses office. The Ercol chairs and country stools were being thrown away and so given to us and the old metal frame chairs we've had for years from a online vintage source.
Walls are plywood cladding with concealed pins.
Large island with concrete worktop. The worktop was cast in current location.

The genesis of this European inspired collection originates in the heart and soul of the British Isles. The detailed carvings and intricate metal designs enhance the rich finish that is aptly named Deep English Tea. The dining room group features a rectangular dining table supported by two very detailed metal pedestals, and lushly upholstered seating. The bedroom group includes a lavish poster bed featuring shaped metal posts, and a handsome gentleman’s chest. The occasional group unveils a barrel shaped end table unique to the line. The detailed, signature leaf carvings are the focal point on the upholstery, occasional tables, dining room and bedroom.

Your gourmet cooking is sure to wow, but it doesn't hurt to start the oohs and ahhs when your guests catch sight of your fabulous dining set. Beneath the clear glass table top sits the exotically fashioned table base, intricately moulded with the decorative swirls of the rattan table stretcher and flared rattan legs with antique metal ferrules. Viewed from above, this combination of metal and natural rattan forms a gorgeous sand dollar pattern. While a sand dollar is a common beach souvenir, this stunning table is anything but common. Adding a comfortable and coastal feel to the dining set are rattan armchairs with woven raffia and the delicate color blend of Seabrook fabric.

Ann Kenkel Interiors
Russell Hirshon PhotographyCoastal Estate in St. Michael's Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. House was designed after the original 1770's house on the property. Home was designed to be a formal house but was now being used as a weekend retreat. Ann Kenkel had to decorate the house in a manner which was coastal enough so owner's felt like they were on vacation yet formal enough for the style of the house.
AK found the house filled with wallpaper from the 1980's. Wallpaper from every room was removed and all trim had to be painted a neutral color.
The formal dining room only had one entry. AK opened up a second entry into the dining room which provided a view of the Chesapeake Bay.

Sputnik chandelier, reclaimed wood furniture, eclectic signage, cement surfaces, usher the young families signature style- fresh and fun against the homes traditional architecture.

A British client requested an 'unfitted' look. Robinson Interiors was called in to help create a space that appeared built up over time, with vintage elements. For this kitchen reclaimed wood was used along with three distinctly different cabinet finishes (Stained Wood, Ivory, and Vintage Green), multiple hardware styles (Black, Bronze and Pewter) and two different backsplash tiles. We even used some freestanding furniture (A vintage French armoire) to give it that European cottage feel. A fantastic 'SubZero 48' Refrigerator, a British Racing Green Aga stove, the super cool Waterstone faucet with farmhouse sink all hep create a quirky, fun, and eclectic space! We also included a few distinctive architectural elements, like the Oculus Window Seat (part of a bump-out addition at one end of the space) and an awesome bronze compass inlaid into the newly installed hardwood floors. This bronze plaque marks a pivotal crosswalk central to the home's floor plan. Finally, the wonderful purple and green color scheme is super fun and definitely makes this kitchen feel like springtime all year round! Masterful use of Pantone's Color of the year, Ultra Violet, keeps this traditional cottage kitchen feeling fresh and updated.
