Debbie Slovin Owner of new home added custom built-ins to the family room. The dark wood made the room too dark. My solution was to add burlap to the back of the new built-in. This added texture as well as lightened the space. We cut cardboard to size and wrapped burlap around it. It was a tight enough fit without drilling holes and could be easily removed.
