So with a budget of $15,000, Jessica – along with her husband Michael – hired IKD’s design team to turn the previously dark, cramped and outdated kitchen into a clean, modern and functional IKEA kitchen.

Although the couple chose not to use IKEA’s cabinet lighting system in their 15’x15’ IKEA kitchen, natural lighting plays a role. Specifically there are two large windows over the sink area, plus two doorways on either side of the refrigerator with sunlight coming in from those adjacent rooms.
