Small eclectic porch container garden photo in Columbus with a roof extension

This modern outdoor living space mere blocks from the beach is replete with all of the best staycation features. There is a cozy, yet refined screened patio space with a glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) wrapped spa that is situated opposite a Wolf-equipped outdoor dining and seating area. A custom GFRC fireplace with GFRC mantel connects the areas, while providing a touch of privacy. Through the retractable screens, a pair of Restoration Hardware chaise lounge chairs call for a sunning session. To beat the heat our clients can retreat to the pool and recline on the end-to-end sun shelf. Artificial turf and a stretch of Mexican beach pebble frame the pool and generous porcelain coping. Aloe, hibiscus, bamboo muhly, cabbage palms and other tropical landscaping enhance the modern beach aesthetic.

Combining the Florida charm of mature oaks, cabbage palms and philodendron, this landscape design provides a small botanical garden for the homeowners. A reclaimed brick walk takes you from the entry with beds of tropical palms, birds of paradise, orchids, bromeliads, Hawaiian Tis & colorful annuals, through a walkable path surrounded by bougainvillea, lady palms, ligustrum trees & a collection of orchids.

Space can be a challenge in Downtown Charleston. This small, windowless master bathroom was transformed into a bright and airy space.
The combination of White Carrera Marble, Brushed Nickel Finishes and "Cabbage" Farrow & Ball paint lends a modern yet timeless sentiment to this lovely room.

A Flower and Herb spiral forms a space-saving living sculpture that has several microclimates. Hugelkultur, the use of wood to build a raised bed, was used in this herb/flower spiral which supplies organic material, nutrients, air pockets for roots for the plants. As years pass the woody matter helps to keep nutrient excess from passing into the ground water - and then referring that to your garden plants later. Hugelkultur could be part of growing garden crops in low rainwater areas.

Trim – White Regal (semigloss)
Kitchen and dining room – Behr’s Ash Blue
Master bedroom – Behr’s Windspeed
