‘Sunset In The Woods’ was the creative inspiration for the complete interior refurbishment of this 1,800 sq ft three-storey home in Clearwater Bay, Hong Kong. Following this concept we have created a beautiful, natural home with an eco-chic luxury feel. We’ve carefully selected and installed non-toxic materials and furnishings throughout every part of our design. So this home has excellent air quality low in VOC’s, an essential part of a really healthy home. The wellbeing of our clients is also supported through circadian lighting in the bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen includes a fast composting machine so food waste can quickly nourish the garden. The property has views of lush tropical foliage and the outdoor spaces create the perfect transition areas to reconnect with nature in the home, increasing wellbeing and reducing stress.

Whether its to add colour and texture or to create a focal point for conversation starters, art plays a vital role in any room. The beauty of art in a space brings out the character of both the home and the client, which is why selecting the right art pieces to decorate your home is crucial.

The clean lines of the master bathroom are given textural interest by using natural slate. The slight differences of color in the natural stone are like a painting in itself. Solid Bamboo was used for the countertop. To break up the straight lines, the curved bathtub and sink soften the space. Due to the existing water heater system we were unable to change the outdated faceplate style. Instead we created a sliding panel on the wall that can be moved up when required to adjust the water heater or use the electrical sockets.

There is no better place to unwind after a long day than at your own home. Creating the perfect atmosphere requires a bit of finesse in the design. Our intention in putting in these solid wood ceiling beams in this Pearl Gardens apartment was to give the otherwise urban interior a touch of nature. These ceiling beams also nicely compliment the design concept of the family lake house.

This balcony at the property of our clients in Hong Kong was tiled with geometric patterned tiles in vibrant yet muted colors of earth and blue tones, evoking Santorini in the Greek Islands or Moroccan design. A large succulent plant in a white planter breaks up the wall and lots of smaller plants in blue and yellow pots are hung from a decorative ladder. Hurricane lamps with candles add to the ambiance.

The magic about plants is they give you serenity, reduced stress, and helps to keep the air fresh. We create a home sanctuary for every client with some elements of nature to create a relaxing and inspiring environment. Incorporating plants, natural materials and décor will not only give you a sense of nature but also reduce your anxiety level and helps you focus.

In the study we selected a glass top desk and leather chair that give a sense of luxury and comfort to the home office. Extra storage in the center of the book shelf houses his office equipment, router and stereo amplifier that also connects to the TV on the other side of the wall. The orange leather chair is the continuous accent color throughout the flat.

This young married couple enlisted our help to update their recently purchased condo into a brighter, open space that reflected their taste. They traveled to Copenhagen at the onset of their trip, and that trip largely influenced the design direction of their home, from the herringbone floors to the Copenhagen-based kitchen cabinetry. We blended their love of European interiors with their Asian heritage and created a soft, minimalist, cozy interior with an emphasis on clean lines and muted palettes.
