A small fire caused by a hair dryer that sparked in the primary bathroom created an unexpected opportunity for a room remodel. Fortunately for our homeowners, the fire damage was minimal, but the smoke and water damage required an immediate fix. The bathroom encompassed two distinct spaces: a vanity area and a separate toilet room with an original bathtub. The design involved replacing the tub with a walk-in shower. With a family member’s carpentry skills as inspiration, the design for the vanity incorporated a custom-built vanity with dual sinks.

Hurricane Harvey caused extensive flooding (38-40”) damage to home 08/2017. Complete demolition from 4 foot down to stud wall including all flooring and lower cabinets in every room. Restored home matching original material pre-flood was performed.

With natural sunlight entering a home or building, any furniture such as wood, leather, carpets and other materials can strongly fade, warp, deteriorate and the intense heat can also cause damage to all internal electronic products.

In many cities where the sun is always out and the weather is always kind, rooftops and balconies have become great places to hang out. However not all are built with that in mind and often times additional damage is caused to that area of the structure. In this particular project the rooftop balcony received a transformation with tiles installation. The surface of the floor got fully flattened and tile flooring was installed to both create a gorgeous look and provide a stronger surface less prone to damage.

Bathroom before and in progress now. Broken tiles built on top of particle board. The leaking toilet caused water damage and rotting, so the toilet started sinking to the subfloor. The shower has hard-water stains and the old tile shown here was installed directly onto the sheet rock.

After water damage caused the shower floor to sink, this 1997 West Linn home underwent a thoughtful kitchen and bathroom remodel. The updates addressed structural issues, modernized the kitchen for potential resale, and replaced family room carpet with hardwoods to create a cohesive flow. The homeowners prioritized quality materials while staying mindful of costs.

Our client had pretty significant water damage that was caused by rotted and corroded pipes. Unfortunately a large amount of the ceilings, floors and walls needed to be repaired throughout the first floor. Check out the before and after pictures.
