We lovingly named this project our Hide & Seek House. Our clients had done a full home renovation a decade prior, but they realized that they had not built in enough storage in their home, leaving their main living spaces cluttered and chaotic. They commissioned us to bring simplicity and order back into their home with carefully planned custom casework in their entryway, living room, dining room and kitchen. We blended the best of Scandinavian and Japanese interiors to create a calm, minimal, and warm space for our clients to enjoy.

Once a chaotic and cluttered garage/playroom, now an organized and fun play area for both kids and adults! We painted the wall in the back with chalkboard paint and put felt below it for the children's love of felt play.

A family of six was in desperate need of an update to their chaotic and outdated 1970's home. On a modest budget we were able to remodel a kitchen, family room and staircase. We repurposed existing furniture and brought in new pieces to capture the homeowners desire for a "bohemian chic" aesthetic.

This creek bed is different from our norm. It was inspired by the metaphorical creek beds seen in some Japanese gardens. Small pieces of flagstone were set on end in polymeric sand to mimic the rapid and sometimes chaotic flow of water over rapids and around boulders. Photo by Jay Sifford.

Tired of their outdated and chaotic master bath, this CT couple wanted to create a relaxing at-home spa with an enlarged steam shower, a soaking tub, and a soothing natural Zen aesthetic. With a clear vision of the inviting retreat these homeowners desired, design team Barry Miller & Rachel Peterson of Simply Baths, Inc. transformed the space.

The former primary bathroom consisted of two small rooms with doors everywhere—so chaotic and cramped that we removed everything and started over. This required relocating plumbing and HVAC returns as well. To expand the original shower stall, we borrowed a small closet from an adjacent bedroom, creating a much larger footprint.

This space was a tad chaotic; originally hosting the husbands tapes, glues, fabric paint, vitamins and more. We re-invented this space as their vitamin, coffee and tea station with a little extra room to store their pet's vitamins and supplements too. -Brianna Celeste

The layout lacked function, had no master suite to speak of, an antiquated kitchen, non-existent connection to the outdoor living space and an absentee mud room… yes, true love.
