When a husband and wife team of professional botanists wanted to remodel their cramped, 1980s-era bathroom, we naturally looked to the forest for inspiration! With the expert help of Elite Construction Services Inc., we opened up this formerly segmented space (the toilet and washer/dryer were in a separate area from the shower/tub and vanity) to make it feel larger. A controlled, muted color scheme further enlarges the room by connecting all the planes, and serves as a neutral backdrop for a calming spa experience. All the materials speak to my clients’ love of nature. The custom wood vanity with tower and coordinating mirror frame are made so the grain lays in a refreshing horizontal pattern. The porcelain field tile is made to look like limestone with shadows of sediment and fossils. Other elements add to the feeling of a walk in the woods: long-format porcelain tiles of falling leaves cascade down a wall and blend into a stream of river stones that roll across the width of the space. The open, curbless shower with a hidden linear drain invites users for a cleansing respite. Haus of León consulted on this show stopping bathroom renovation project. First things first, we worked with the fabulous team at Lane Built. They took care of everything from the demo, purchasing, scheduling, planning, construction, and they even took these pretty pictures! We helped with the design only, taking what we knew about the client’s tastes and requests, and turning this bathroom into a cleansing zen experience. There are wood tone moldings throughout the whole house, so we made a large pop of wood the focal point to help bridge the new bathroom remodel with the rest of the house. We focused on long clean lines of large mirrors, minimal changes and angles, the bright richness of the textured wall tiles, details in the shower niche, and built in storage in the toilet nook. We were so excited when the clients liked the wallpaper we selected for the main bedroom. The pattern is bold and unique, yet soothing. Thank you again to Lane Built for doing such a wonderful job!

The design of the patio with rustic decor ideas is earthing and heart-stopping as it blends with nature. The jali carved panels are strategically placed so the morning sun filters through and casts beautiful shadows on the walls. The potted plants are lush and cleansing. The music from the water fall behind the granite Buddha sculpture is so peaceful and zen like. The state of art barbeque and oven in stainless steel with the stone walls that have creepers growing all over is like cooking in as natural a habitat but with modern luxuries.

This petit powder room bath is not limited to whites and greys, but a unique mix of shapes, textures and patterns that make a statement. The glass mosaic tile added glimmer and a pop of soft green color. Our client was seeking something different and a bit of glamour to show off to visiting guests and we addressed these priorities aesthetically. The beautiful and functional powder room boasts subway tile in both white ceramic and frosted green glass along with a soft and elegant glass mosaic wall and accent border in a green, white and grey color combination. The curvaceous wall-mounted LED mirror allows light to flow through a frosted inner circle which gives the light a uniquely warm hue and provides a natural focal point to the room’s design. We recommended a 20” round fireclay sink designed for small and unique spaces. Guests will also enjoy the bidet toilet seat that provides added comfort and cleansing. Overall our client is delighted with her new elegant and attractive bath and is ready to invite guests and show it off! It is a transformation that is sure to impress!

bbbidet Y3 is an ultra-compact 55cm (21.7") short-projection Japanese-style P-Trap smart bidet toilet, engineered specifically for small bathrooms, powder rooms, and wall-outlet plumbing setups. In this bathroom remodel, Medallion Valencia flat panel cabinetry in the Hearth stained finish was installed with Atlas Erika 3” pulls in a warm brass finish. The countertops are Caesarstone Taj Royal quartz with matching niche shelves. Contessa Oro 12 x 24” polished porcelain wall tile was used for the shower walls, paired with Venetian Pebbles Pastel mosaic stone on the backs of the niches. The flooring is Jute Ivory 12 x 24” textured porcelain tile with a matte finish. A Nutone Ultra Pro fan with light was installed in the bathroom ceiling, along with a Duncan black metal 36 x 40” decorative wall mirror and a set of rustic wall shelves over the toilet. The space also features a Moen Doux faucet in a chrome finish with coordinating paper holder, towel bars, and robe hook. A Kohler Archer undermount vanity sink in white vitreous china and a Kohler Archer 60” soaking tub in white were installed, along with matching Moen Doux tub and shower faucets, including a handheld shower system. Sliding glass shower doors with chrome finishes and clear glass complete the shower area. A Kohler Cimarron Intelligent toilet with bidet cleansing seat was also installed.
