Newly constructed home located in the Zilker neighborhood of Austin. The existing bungalow on the property was deconstructed, with materials set aside for re-use in the new home. Goal of the project was to source exclusively from these existing materials, as well as materials salvaged from the homeowners' family ranch in West Texas. The remaining products and materials were sourced locally and made in the USA whenever possible, to lower the carbon footprint and support local manufacturers and artisans.

The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall.

The layout of this bathroom was opened up to get rid of the hallway effect, being only 7 foot wide, this bathroom needed all the width it could muster. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper.
A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project.

Our client desired a functional, tasteful, and improved environment to compliment their home. The overall goal was to create a landscape that was subtle and not overdone. The client was highly focused on their deck environment that would span across the rear of the house with an area for a Jacuzzi as well. A portion of the deck has a screened in porch due to the naturally buggy environment since the home is situated in the woods and a low area. A mosquito repellent injection system was incorporated into the irrigation system to help with the bug issue. We improved circulation of the driveway, increased the overall curb appeal of the entrance of the home, and created a scaled and proportional outdoor living environment for the clients to enjoy. The client has religious guidelines that needed to be adhered to with the overall function and design of the landscape, which included an arbor over the deck to support a Sukkah and a Green Egg smoker to cook Kosher foods. Two columns were added at the driveway entrance with lights to help define their driveway entrance since it's the end of a long pipe-stem. New light fixtures were also added to the rear of the house.
Our client desired multiple amenities with a limited budget, so everything had to be value engineered through the design and construction process. There is heavy deer pressure on the site, a mosquito issue, low site elevations, flat topography, poor soil, and overall poor drainage of the site. The original driveway was not sized appropriately and the front porch had structural issues, as well as leaked water onto the landing below. The septic tank was also situated close to the rear of the house and had to be contemplated during the design process.

3,800sf, 4 bdrm, 3.5 bath with oversized 4 car garage and over 270sf Loggia; climate controlled wine room and bar, Tech Room, landscaping and pool. Solar, high efficiency HVAC and insulation was used which resulted in huge rebates from utility companies, enhancing the ROI. The challenge with this property was the downslope lot, sewer system was lower than main line at the street thus requiring a special pump system. Retaining walls to create a flat usable back yard.

Large transitional u-shaped dark wood floor and brown floor kitchen photo in Minneapolis with gray cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island, raised-panel cabinets, a farmhouse sink, solid surface countertops, white countertops and ceramic backsplash

There are so many details in this kitchen it's hard to decide where to look. Each part of it is so carefully thought out, with no detail left to spare. Our clients eclectic taste and her deep trust in us, made this remodel not only top notch, but easy and fun! We used solid walnut cabinets and open shelves to bring warmth to the space and mixing patterns, but being consistent in color and tone allowed us to incorporate a lot of style into one space.

Designing the space impels a décor that needs to appeal to varied tastes. This apartment in Surat, Gujarat redefines the concept of a designer home, using color accents in otherwise light interior décor. It’s a simple functional house with all minimal requirements and less maintenance house.
As a part of interest our client was fond of paintings to be displayed so it played major role in designing aspect.
As we enter the passage area the use of wooden slatted main door with Smoke grey PU finished walls, soft finishes and clean lines dominate these, with metallic gold text ‘MODI’S” representing with iconic design symbol carved in MDF with touch of green makes it more welcoming.
Living space has an overpowering feature as the wooden cladded wall which highlights the space and marks the continuation into the dining area.
The palette of the project is simple, defining the three main elements that make it up: Italian marble flooring changing as per the functionality of the space, Ash Wood defining the objects, and grey finish.
The materials hold the space strongly with a particular color palette. On skinny metal legs, the furniture in this living room seems to be floating above the floor, bringing a sense of weightlessness to the space. This unique living space features Ash wood slatted panels on walls with a velvety finish rug matching the center table just right.
The design of the furniture in wood and metal is tradition but is executed in a modern minimalist way. The Indian swing seating makes it as divider to the space between informal seating and dining area yet comprising the space equally.
Bespoke furniture elements kept according to the client’s need. The furniture is a mix of contemporary with different design elements by our studio, which creates a classic and cozy atmosphere. The ash wood and the grey hue finish become the leaders of the colours and textures palette. The curved shaped edge ceiling designed according to functionality & also plays aesthetic role. The importance of them, almost visible from every spot.
The deep sea velvety sofa makes an argument to this palette by focusing attention to it.
A nonchalant elegance best describes the soul of the house. In order to make a dialogue between the contemporary with different textures, patterns and uniform colors have been used throughout the house.
The parallel shaped kitchen with a high spec modern technologies and artificial stone counter top with fresh furniture in white and grey and sleek open breakfast counter is designed to be a light space that beautifully blends in.
This volume integrates the access to the private area –bedroom, wash area and bathroom-, segregating this way the day area living and dining area.
The Master Bedroom layout remodeled in accordance with contemporary trends and the client’s needs. The paintings which is inspired from the well-known artist and as strong believer in vaastu by the clients it has been displayed in right position which reflects good vibes.
The seamless panel running through bed back having grooves on them which forms symmetrical pattern on wood. Using the same material by forming the side tables in circular pattern with round shaped metal supports.
The Son’s bedroom is integrated with closet, TV unit and dressing table. The entire ceiling is connected with wood stripes panels running on the walls which starts from main door of the room and ends on the full height closet and subdivided by lime plaster in grey with grooves on it.
The graphics now a days plays major role in every design aspect, so we tried customized different athlete position in game play captured in frames and be part of the focal point in room.
Each details speaks the entire space is crafted with a confluence of contemporary art presented in a modern palette. You’ll find them throughout the home, right from the color, furniture selection, to the wall paneling style teamed up with modern artworks and artefacts.
Each bedroom has a character of its own based on the user. This room was designed with a picturesque composition was made to create a backdrop to compliment the minimalistic furniture in entire space.
The backdrop of the bed panel is veneer cladded in frame box placed in the form of Tetris. The geometric patchwork mosaic tiles placed in between the cladding so that it’s easy to maintain.
Sleek handle details with full height closet and fine thin leg supports makes it more classic and modern.
Thus, the apartment gained a contemporary atmosphere and it is ready to receive a new lifestyle, of a new generation and new values.

The Setup
When Samantha’s clients purchased their new home, they quickly realized the primary bath and adjacent laundry room weren’t just dated — they were dysfunctional. The bathroom featured a hulking decked-in tub, a cramped pass-through layout, and plumbing fixtures that barely worked. Meanwhile, the nearby laundry room felt more like a closet, lacking both natural light and usable storage. As long-time returning Drury Design clients, these veteran remodeling clients came to us with a clear ask: reimagine these two key spaces with long-term comfort, function, and beauty in mind.
Design objectives:
Create a more functional, spacious layout in the primary bath
Modernize the aesthetic while respecting the home’s transitional character
Eliminate awkward bump-outs and toe-stubbing pinch points
Design a large walk-in shower with thoughtful aging-in-place elements
Incorporate a sculptural standalone tub that feels intentional, not crowded
Improve laundry room utility and bring in natural light
Introduce discreet yet effective storage in both rooms
Make both spaces feel cohesive, light-filled, and livable for years to come
The Remodel
Design challenges to be solved:
A bulky built-in tub jutted into the circulation path, creating toe-stubbing hazards
The bathroom layout was awkwardly L-shaped, limiting flow and flexibility
The shower and toilet were squeezed together in an enclosed room with poor use of space
The linen cabinet in the bathroom was large and clunky, crowding the room
The laundry room was undersized, lacked light, and had limited functionality
The home featured transitional details that didn’t align with the clients’ more contemporary style
The clients wanted both spaces to support future aging-in-place needs
The Renewed Space
Design solutions:
Swapped the oversized tub for a freestanding sculptural version placed on an angle, clearing walkways and preserving window symmetry and light
Reworked the footprint to create a rectangular layout that maximized space in both the primary bath and laundry room
Removed the enclosed toilet/shower room and replaced it with a wide, glass-enclosed shower and a tucked-away toilet — all within a visually open and efficient layout
Tucked a slim, full-height linen cabinet just behind the entry door — easily accessible without cluttering the visual field
Retooled layout allowed laundry room to extend over the old shower/toilet space, also winning a window – this brightens the laundry space and the hallway beyond. Also added smart storage, a wide sink, folding counter, and broom cabinet with power.
Balanced contemporary materials with transitional details — including a rich color palette, chrome finishes, mosaic accents, and herringbone tile in a larger scale for traditional flair
Integrated aging-in-place features including a wide walk-in shower, large built-in bench with nearby handheld, and plenty of room for easy movement and accessibility
Final Thoughts:
By designing these two rooms in tandem, Samantha was able to create a smooth and thoughtful flow between everyday tasks and everyday comfort. The bathroom now offers generous circulation space, elegant materials, and features designed for longevity — including a large shower with bench seating and open sightlines that support accessibility. Just steps away, the laundry room is no longer a tucked-away closet but a light-filled, functional hub with room to fold, hang, rinse, and more (ex. recharge vacuum in a closet with power outlets). For these longtime Drury Design clients, it’s a two-room transformation built not just for today – but for the years ahead.

We love when clients are able to allow us to be creative with support beams. Making them seem less like a support post and more tied in with the rest of the interior theme.

Our clients wanted to add on to their 1950's ranch house, but weren't sure whether to go up or out. We convinced them to go out, adding a Primary Suite addition with bathroom, walk-in closet, and spacious Bedroom with vaulted ceiling. To connect the addition with the main house, we provided plenty of light and a built-in bookshelf with detailed pendant at the end of the hall. The clients' style was decidedly peaceful, so we created a wet-room with green glass tile, a door to a small private garden, and a large fir slider door from the bedroom to a spacious deck. We also used Yakisugi siding on the exterior, adding depth and warmth to the addition. Our clients love using the tub while looking out on their private paradise!

Master Bathroom Remodeling in Maple Glen, PA: A Stunning Transformation by BMR Belmax Remodeling
At BMR Belmax Remodeling, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional remodeling services that combine elegance, functionality, and personalized design. One of our recent projects involved a master bathroom remodeling in Maple Glen, PA, where we transformed a dated bathroom into a luxurious retreat. This comprehensive bathroom renovation in Maple Glen, PA showcases our commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail, leaving our client thrilled with the results.
A Vision for the Perfect Master Bathroom
Our client envisioned a serene and modern master bathroom that would elevate the aesthetics and functionality of their space. They sought a design that offered a balance of contemporary style and practicality, incorporating sleek fixtures, premium materials, and improved lighting. We collaborated closely with the client to bring their vision to life, ensuring that every detail met their expectations. The result was a master bathroom that perfectly aligned with their lifestyle and design preferences.
Key Features of the Master Bathroom Remodel
Our team tackled every aspect of this master bathroom remodeling project with precision and care. Here’s a breakdown of the upgrades and improvements we completed:
1. Plumbing Reconfiguration
To accommodate the updated design, we reconfigured the bathroom’s plumbing to support a sleek, smaller vanity and a stylish freestanding bathtub. This change not only optimized the layout but also created a more open and inviting feel.
2. Upgraded Bathroom Fixtures
The client opted for high-quality bathroom fixtures to enhance the space’s overall look and functionality. We installed a modern bathtub faucet, a new toilet, and other premium fixtures that seamlessly complemented the updated design.
3. Enhanced Lighting and Electrical Work
Lighting was a crucial element of this remodel. We installed new electrical wiring to accommodate lighted mirrors, which added a touch of sophistication and practicality. Additional lighting was installed above the mirrors to ensure optimal brightness for daily grooming routines, and a new exhaust fan was added to improve ventilation and maintain air quality.
4. Large-Format Tile Installation
To achieve a luxurious and contemporary look, we used 24″x48″ large-format tiles for the walls in the bathtub area and on the flooring. These tiles created a clean, seamless aesthetic, with fewer grout lines to maintain and a striking visual impact. The client was particularly impressed with the elegance and durability of this choice.
5. Freestanding Bathtub Installation
A standout feature of this remodel was the addition of a stunning freestanding bathtub. Positioned as a focal point of the bathroom, it offered both aesthetic appeal and a relaxing space for unwinding after a long day.
