This new construction home is located in Hinsdale, Illinois. The main goal of this kitchen was to create a real cook’s kitchen– great for entertaining and large family gatherings. The concept was to have this working kitchen loaded with appliances completely hidden since the space is open to the family room. O’Brien Harris Cabinetry in Chicago (OBH) seamlessly integrated the kitchen into the architecture. They created concealed appliance storage and designed cabinetry to look like furniture. The back wall of the kitchen was designed to look like a beautiful, paneled wall. The ovens were located off to the side – pulled up on legs so it felt lighter and not so heavy. OBH designed metal cuffs at the cabinet base so the unit looks like a piece of furniture. This kitchen has all the function but still is beautiful. obrienharris.com

A sophisticated master bedroom centered around a navy tufted bed, set against a custom paneled wall. Crisp white bedding is layered with soft textures and subtle color, while warm brass lighting and a contemporary abstract artwork add balance, depth, and a polished, livable elegance.

Family members enter this kitchen from the mud room where they are right at home in this friendly space. The Kitchens central banquette island seats six on cozy upholstered benches with another two diners at the ends. There is table seating for EIGHT plus the back side boasts raised seating for four more on swiveling bar stools. The show-stopping coffered ceiling was custom designed and features beaded paneling, recessed can lighting and dramatic crown molding. The counters are made of Labradorite which is often associated with jewels. It's iridescent sparkle adds glamour without being too loud. The wood paneled backsplash allows the cabinetry to blend in. There is glazed subway tile behind the range. This lovely home features an open concept space with the kitchen at the heart. Built in the late 1990's the prior kitchen was cherry, but dark, and the new family needed a fresh update. This great space was a collaboration between many talented folks including but not limited to the team at Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC, L. A french door subzero refrigerator was covered with matching panels and coordinating appliance pulls were used on the refrigerator. 48 inch side by side subzero refrigerator. It was flush inset into the cabinetry so it flushes out with cabinet doors.

The chandelier featured is apart of the Chantilly Collection by Maxim Lighting. Chantilly collection features metal frames gracefully draped with Nickel finished jewelry chain. Metal trim rings of Polished Nickel add sharp contrast to the softness of the chain, which conceals the xenon light source.

This great room is so well detailed. With every wall paneled, clerestory windows bringing light directly in, and exposed beams spanning 30', this space is large yet inviting and comfortable. Environmentally-friendly sisal rug (made from Agave Sisalana plant -- hardy, fast-growing, and renewable) matching the tone of the European white oak DuChateau wood floors with oil finish. Foucault's Orb chandeliers (from Restoration Hardware) provide an accent of radiuses that tie in with the end table. When the weather is perfect, the sliding glass doors pocket out of sight, leaving a seamless transition from the outside living to the inside. The perfect space for entertaining.

Location: Nantucket, MA, USA This classic Nantucket home had not been renovated in several decades and was in serious need of an update. The vision for this summer home was to be a beautiful, light and peaceful family retreat with the ability to entertain guests and extended family. The focal point of the kitchen is the La Canche Chagny Range in Faience with custom hood to match. We love how the tile backsplash on the Prep Sink wall pulls it all together and picks up on the spectacular colors in the White Princess Quartzite countertops. In a nod to traditional Nantucket Craftsmanship, we used Shiplap Panelling on many of the walls including in the Kitchen and Powder Room.
